Folks, assuming that this was a mistake and not some rogue Cyber Monday deal ?, my Rivian account shows the down payment received by Rivian is two times the value of what I actually sent.

Anyone else ever experience this? I can’t get a response from my guide on this and a concerned that the final paper work will be messed up.

I've heard of people trying for months to get a refund. And Rivian sending people wall chargers who canceled their order, but never this.... Maybe it was double coupon day at the factory when you put your deposit down? ?‍♂

I would have appreciated having that code back when I put mine down! If they were going to award it to a single state, ours definitely deserves it. :cool:

Once you get yours be sure to look up the Rocky Mountain Rivian Club. It's a great group of people who also love their Rivians!

I'm in the process of picking up my R1S this weekend and I have got to say that the "Guide" support leaves a lot to be desired. Kinda feel for them because I imagine it isn't really their fault but it does give me pause. My guide is averaging about 36 hours to get back to me on questions, if at all.

With that said still excited to get my car.

I think their people and computer workflow systems are running at the max. I ordered from stock, ordered a charger, found out my local power company would only pay for a different charger, and then I took advantage of the free charger offer for buying from stock. Between my guide and the support folks we seem to be working through it all.

The guides really don’t do much, honestly. The people you have to care about are the title folks and they’re pretty responsive. I don’t know why Rivian still insists on having guides in the current form.

They’ll get in touch with you once the sale is being finalized. They do all the real work whereas the guide just sets up the sale.
