We'll probably head out somewhere near where we live in the glorious Channeled Scablands of the Ice Age Floods in E. Washington state. Rivian country for sure!

Whoa...yes. please! That area looks awesome. Have yet to see Grand Coulee Dam.

Reminded me to put Palouse Falls on my list! ?⚡??

Was fully expecting this to be the video with the recreation of the Missoula Flood taking out cars on the highway.

For sure, it'll depend on what season it is when I get my R1S. In wintertime I'll probably just head up to Mt. Bachelor for some skiing. In summer/fall I'd take 'er up to the Broken Top Trailhead (and take someone who's experienced in rugged road driving for moral support!) In spring, I'll likely head over to the Ochocos.

Grand Coulee is fun. I'd then head over to Omak and down the Columbia towards Chelan. I love that drive...When my family lived in Chelan in the 1990s electricity in Chelan Co. was less than 2c a kilowatt. I always thought it would be fun to have an EV to take advantage of that!

A man after my own heart. There will definitely be a tailgating trip to see some Aggie football on my Rivian list this fall.
This part of my 2021 dream is fading due to the additional delays. :(

I hear ya... I remember wondering if I would be able to break in my truck on Medano Pass on a trip to Sand Dunes NP next month... Now, I'm wondering about next summer's trips.

Depends... Do they have a good drive-in theater in hell, and how good are the 22" AT on fresh ice?

It will depend on where I get to pick up my R1T LE.

If it is in Portland, I'll go get my dad and take him for a ride he won't soon forget.

If it is in Seattle, then I go on up to Shoreline and and show him how much faster it is than his Chevy Colorado.

I think I’ll take my R1T out to Sedona, AZ. They have a few good warmup trails to get a good feel for the handling. Then hopefully Rivian will have a waypoint charger up at the Grand Canyon and I can go there next.

Maybe not day 1, but I'm planning on taking my 3 kids on a long cross country road trip in an R1T. From home in PA to Washington via a northern route, then down to the Grand Canyon and back east via Utah and Colorado.
It's nice to dream...
