I purchased a 2022 Quad (26k miles) from one of the Rivian dealerships in FL about 6 weeks ago. When picking up the truck I mentioned a few issues and was told I could just take it in to have everything taken care of under warranty.
Fast forward to two weeks ago, dropped the truck off for:
1 - Suspension rattle drivers front and knocking sound when turning left from front left suspension
2 - Window seal on drivers door split and falling apart, the "wing window" right at the top of the gasket
3 - horribly loud noise (sounds like a pump or motor spinning at crazy fast speeds) when first powering on the truck, can feel it while sitting in the truck.
After having the truck for a week, they told me it was ready for pick up.
Their solutions for each issue were:
1 - "this is normal, the truck is smart" and those noises are the truck adjusting for bumps.... I know for sure this isn't correct and the rattle and knock has gotten worse since the service visit
2 - was told I tore the gasket having the windows tinted. I supplied them images of the truck from the listing of the truck before I bought it that showed the gasket had already failed. They still denied the warranty repair and said I would have to pay for the replacement and install
3- loud noise is because the truck battery was too hot and it need to run the cooling pumps, and that is how loud they are. The video I showed them of it happening was of my truck in an air conditioned garage, temp in the garage is always between 80-82 degrees.
My question is how do I handle this?
The truck is going back again in a week because the suspension issue has me freaked out because I do over 120 miles a day on the highway. I know something is not right.
How do I get this resolved if they have already told me once this is "normal"?
Just wanted to update this, hopefully I can link this video.
The suspension sounds are hard to hear because of sound canceling on every camera and phone I have, you can hear the sounds w/ head phones on starting right before the red vehicle parked on the side of the street.
