Not to be the downer in the thread, but I'd be concerned that the hook design has the potential to be an eye-poker in the event of an accident/hard stop.
Yes, they tell you not to use it with rear seat passengers. I'm going to re-print mine with a TPU hook for safety, and probably reduce the spikiness.

I have this printed and so far so good. The "key" holder is nice, but will not fit a house key, but smaller keys.

Also I did add the magnets, 3 per side and they are def needed. Without them the top section will slide back and forth. The magnets hold it perfectly in place and still easy enough to slide forward if needed. No need to glue them in as its a perfect tight fit.

While it does not block the USBs ports in the center console area, it is hard to get a USB to fit, at least the cable I have. Mine are both 90* ends, and not enough room to use that kind of end. Luckily I has able to reverse the cable as only one end is 90* and then reconnect to my SSD.

I printed this in Black PETG-HF with zero issues.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I wasn't sure about a large house key, if that would be useful, but I could see it being helpful. Maybe I'll add a second key model that has wider holes and more space to fit 2 or 3 large keys...

I finally managed to get my final version printed this weekend and I ended up adding 2 magnets per side. I used the "back" 2 spots on the top bin and then added magnets on the back 2 spots and front 2 spots on the base. This lets it lock into place pretty well in the front and back positions, without much resistance in between. We'll see how well it holds up or if I decide to add the 3rd magnet once I get more weight into the top bin.

An alternative approach if you don't have magnets or don't want to use that is to just put a small strip of anti-slip rubber tape (like for carpets) under the arms of the upper piece. It holds it in place well and doesn't make any noise.

It would be dope if it had a trap door for a kleenex holder.

Having kids is gross :D
That's what I was thinking. I'm looking for just a half-depth tray (the light green part only) for easily-accessible times, and plan to keep a tissue box in the bottom.

I use onshape to model since I'm a beginner. Is there any way to get the file in STEP? I'm trying to remix it if you're okay for personal additions.

Is Onshape really any easier than the others? I thought it was pretty high level. I'm so unskilled that all of my remixing is brute force in the slicer.

I could probably provide STEP files. It's just more work to export out of Fusion any time I make changes :) I really need to figure out the scripting side of fusion to help with some of this. And since I just use the free version, I don't have access to the configurations feature, so I have to manually adjust parameters or suspend specific parts of my timeline to get different versions.

Which parts are you looking to remix? Customizing accessories? Or modifying the base/top compartments?

Base and Top, want to add custom exact dividers for accessories like my Kindle, which would require resizing the top tray too.

Whats Fusion's learning curve? From someone with AutoCAD electrical industry experience, and 2D/3D CAD classes in high school

I had the same issue--fixed it by importing the files into Fusion and exporting them from Fusion directly to Bambustudio.
As the Product Manager for Fusion I love seeing all these designs you guys are building! Keep it up!

Good point. I'm more likely to use the front ones. My kids are still in car seats. So, they wouldn't be able to reach the rear hooks with their hands or heads.

I wanted to share that I've published a model of my take on the OEM console organizer.
Blank_lemur, thank you for sharing your print and source files!

I just need a single tray for quick-to-grab items like sunglasses and a Fastrak, and a "false floor" at the bottom to hide/cover my SSD, which I don't want to accidentally pull out while rummaging around in the cavern.

So I sliced off all but the bottom of the tray and resized it to fit the bottom of the console hole

https://imgur.com/KtxFHPW.jpg

And will add some tabs to the small upper tray so that it can sit against the top of the console lip and slide back and forth to more easily access the tissue boxes, wetwipes and whatever I leave at the bottom.

Selfishly give Fusion a whirl, we have a personal (free) edition for exactly this reason. Lots of online resources to help you learn. Runs on Mac and WIN.

Not an AD as its free!
