Current charging costs?

I haven’t seen a huge jump I drove up to Seattle and back a couple weeks ago and they were the same they’ve been the last two years. I’m driving to Boise tomorrow and all those chargers on 84 are the same they’ve were last summer. Even the ones in Central Oregon that are essentially the only choice haven’t jumped. I pretty much only use RAN and Tesla chargers.

In HI.- island of Kauai it is .55 kWh at Xeal charger vs .37 kWh off home grid.

Those rates at that RAN, is the same as what I’m seeing in my area.

I charge at home 100% of the time, unless I go on a trip occasionally. I have a flat rate of .0658 per kWh.

Is that an SRP rate? We’re on APS which is 5.1 cents off peak in summer. For winter we have 5.1 and 3.1 during different off peak hours.

I have APS, and because of that stupid demand charge, I end up at .11 average, even though my peak usage is about 6% of the total. Then I have a $100 per month of adjustment fees. It is crazy.

Ok, but the EV charging isn't involved in the demand charge, so it doesn't count. Unless you're day-charging.

I don't want to piss anyone off... But up here in BC
- BCHydro, $0.36/kWh CDN ($0.26/KWh USD)
- Tesla $0.34-0.50/kWh CDN ($0.25-.36/kWh USD)
Chargepoint - $0.50/minute CDN ($0.36/min USD)

I mostly DCFC, and clearly Chargepoint is the best option still being per minute pricing, especially charging only to 70% soc.
BCHydro began installing 400kW units as well, which is huge as their footprint extends throughout BC's more remote locations.

Tesla here in Texas is still 30-35¢/kWh with membership.

Not crazy about the company but the reliability, charging speed, and price are hard to beat (...except at home where we get time of use rates of 4.35¢ overnight).

BCHydro began installing 400kW units as well, which is huge as their footprint extends throughout BC's more remote locations.

When did BCHydro start installing the 400kW? I drove from Portland to Tofino a few years ago and they were still mostly 50kW with a few 150kW in Vancouver metro. Are they planning on putting them North towards Prince Rupert&White Horse?

The last year and a half, they've put minimum 200kw units almost everywhere, and then more corrodor/busy locations, they've swapped out 50-150kW units for 400kw.

My battery was still only around 16c when I pulled up, so not ready for full 500amps.

I have to know - how did you get your driver screen to show kW & kWh instead of miles when charging?!? Been trying to find that setting for a long, long time!

I the charging portion of the energy app, tap miles down in the bottom of the screen and it will alternate between miles/hour or kW

That was it - thanks! The "miles per hour" charge rate on the driver's screen has been bugging me for so damn long!
