R1S delivered 2/2023
I just talked to my wife about 20 mins ago and she told me she saw an R1T turn from 144th onto southbound Huron. She tried for tell color but in the twilight she said it was one of LG/El Cap/Limestone. She said the plates looked like New York but could have been the Illinois MFR ones.
Probably picking up the kids from Slammers baseball and heading over to Lazy Dog.

My wife and I decided to go to Rivers & Roads for lunch so we drove by the Steele street location. For the first time there is obvious progress. The doors were open on both the north and south side with construction crews doing work. It looked like the floors are in and polished. The stereotypical black steel and glass windows from other locations are also in on the east side. It’s actually happening a bit now.

Drove by Steele street this morning and they have installed glass garage doors and windows on the side Where the parking lot will be. Security guy wouldn’t let me take pictures of the inside. Will drop by again later in afternoon this week when workers are gone.

You got me thinking there. I think I’d come down 93 then go west on 72 up to Coal Creak. Then turn on Gap road up towards Tremont mountain. That’s a good dirt road.

I’d love to take one on the trail, but most trails are going to be covered in snow soon. PeeWink Mountain or Switzerland Pass may be the only things open soon.
That will be me on the side of the road with a camera. :)

Hey guys, checking in with a new order - placed about two weeks ago so the Rivian for me will remain a bit a myth for some time. Still excited and hopeful for early 2023...that's just before the lease on my Gladiator runs out so maybe good timing after all.

Hi Everyone! I went by the Steel St location this morning on my way to Rivers & Roads coffee. It is FINALLY looking like a Rivian Service Center. They have the parking lot paved and striped with a number of Clipper Creek EVSE stations installed. I was able to see in one of the corner and the interior looks pretty complete as well. From the looks of it, it could _easily_ be open by Thanksgiving.

Thanks for sharing. That's a huge amount of progress in the past 2 weeks. This will greatly increase the potential for deliveries in Colorado.

I was digging through the City & County of Denver permits system (to get a feel for how many permits have already passed inspection as an indicator of how close to finish they are) and found this one. Not only does it have some good figures on how the signage will look in the end, it also has some good diagrams showing the flow of vehicles in and around the facility (look at the attachments drop-down on the page to see the PDF):

That’s a beautiful WW2 building, but I hope nobody ever drives through one of those posts.
