Super curious if you know when/how they contacted him about delivery, including if he got a guide contact last year and/or one of the November 2021 delivery dates. Still seems odd to me that the forum members who appeared to be first in line haven’t gotten their vehicles yet, and am wondering if there was any reshuffling of the order.

I know they contacted him last year. He was initially told they were going to try to deliver in December, but it would most likely be pushed due to holidays and that's what happened. I really don't know more specifics than that.

I think a few forum members have taken delivery and are being quiet about it. There are a couple less vocal members who have reported very early reservations at one point or another and they seem to have gone dark. When Rivian had produced just about 1000 trucks and delivered around 600 of them to round out 2021 and have been producing 100+ per week, ramping to 200/week now, for the past 4 1/2 weeks, those trucks are going somewhere. We're not talking huge numbers, but trucks are moving and transports hauling them keep popping up on other social media. Factory line was shut down from Christmas Eve until January 2nd, but has been running otherwise.

Howdy all. New member, but lurker for awhile now. I'm in Arvada and finally put in a preorder in December after watching Rivian for a few years now. I currently have an R1T spec'd with Forest Green / Forest Edge, Adventure, Max Pack, Off-Road, etc. Though I'd love to go R1S for better wheelbase off-road, but won't do that without a max pack and fullsize spare option. Pictured below is my off-road built 4Runner and current EV, MINI Cooper SE, both of which will turn into a Rivian at some point.

Have two preorders in. An April 2021 R1T order that was for a max pack, switched to a large pack after hearing a 2023 delivery date. And a few days ago I put in the 2nd order, an R1T with max pack. Maybe I'll just keep the large pack, maybe I'll swap for the max when it arrives, and maybe I'll end up with an R1T and an R1S. Wife recently reserved an ID4, a year out, but also TBD as we can cancel for a long time. I'm hoping my R1T comes by end of fall this year.

Did a slow lap through the service center last Wednesday on my way out of town. Didn’t have time to take any pics because I was already running late, but there were 4 R1Ts charging outside and the parking lot inside the fence was divided up into staging areas, like “wash/ detail staging”, delivery staging”, etc. 1 of the delivery flatbeds was running but no truck on it.

For my first time seeing the truck in person I was impressed with the style, size, but I really want to spend some time crawling in and out of one and playing with it. A drive seems like a pipe dream, but hopefully one day ?

The service center employees have been fully educated in Rivian approved language.

Several reports of people being told by the local facility team that test drives will begin “soon”.

Soon is the gift that keeps on giving.

While I'm a little surprised we haven't seen anything about the mobile test drives where they come to you, I'm not surprised we haven't gotten a First Mile event. Given our fantastic location for off-roading, I would expect that if a First Mile event were going to happen, we'll end up having to wait until closer to May/June timeframe if not July. Basically need to wait until the snow melts in the vicinity of trails conducive to this sort of event. But even then, I'm having trouble coming up with a trail that would have interesting elements to drive on yet also has a parking lot within a mile of the obstacles.

Anyone CO seen this First Drive Denver confirmation yet? I signed into my account but nothing for me on the left bar. I see someone on Reddit has a drive 2/22.

I checked my account and didn't see anything either about signing up. I reserved an R1S and not expected to get it until Oct-Dec. 2022 so not sure if they are prioritizing R1Ts and early delivery folks or not.

Yes that was my thinking as well. R1S May/June here.
