  1. Colorado Tax Credits

I'm guessing you got the same generic "The credit has been disallowed. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) was not in the allowable range for the vehicle type selected......" as noted in my post of March 4. I would hope they would understand the difference between GVWR and empty weight, but...
  2. Car camping with induction stove and espresso machine is pretty sweet

I donā€™t have any precise data but it is negligible. Even at altitude, you are boiling water in no time so your run times will probably be short or using very low power settings.
  3. Colorado Tax Credits

Or they might just reject all credit claims with some very vague wordingā€¦ šŸ˜€
  4. Colorado Tax Credits

I probably should have, but instead, I referenced the statute: CRS Ā§39-22-516 (8.3)(b) provides for a tax credit for Category 7 ā€“ ā€œLight-duty passenger motor vehicles over 8,500 GVWRā€ of $2,000 for income tax years commencing 1/1/2023 but before 1/1/2024. I wrote a bunch of other stuff (mostly...
  5. Colorado Tax Credits

It sounds like we are getting the same generic adjustment notice. For those claiming a credit of $2,800, I would assume you are claiming $2,800, rather than $2,000, because you believe your R1T or R1S qualifies as a commercial vehicle, and not a private vehicle (this was discussed earlier in...
  6. Colorado Tax Credits

I filed my protest yesterday online with a detailed analysis of the statutes which concludes that $2,000 is the correct credit for my R1S with a GVWR of 8,532. I believe that the analysis is correct, but if nothing else, I hope it forces them to provide their reading of the statutes. The...
  7. Colorado Tax Credits

See my situation above. I was able to submit the vehicle registration and purchase agreement. I think they are rejecting all claims for light-duty passenger motor vehicles with a GVWR of greater than 8,500. I can't tell if they are drawing a distinction between a R1T (a truck) and a R1S (a...
  8. Colorado Tax Credits

I received my rejection to a $2,000 credit claim today for my R1S on my 2023 tax return. "The credit has been disallowed. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) was not in the allowable range for the vehicle type selected......" They also say "For additional information see Income Tax...
  9. Colorado Tax Credits

I still havenā€™t filed yet, but Iā€™m pretty sure that is the position that the CO Dept of Revenue is taking. I think they decided that they would try and clear up the confusion (including perhaps even their own phone guidance) using the form and its instructions. Probably not the way they are...
  10. Neener, Neener, Neener... Windshield Washer Fluid by Genuine Chemistry

Moosehead / Paul, if you are going to earn a commission, you should at least make sure they keep it in stock for all the demand you're driving! :)
  11. Colorado Tax Credits

I'm just starting to work on my 2023 return and I'm still catching up with you guys on the $2,000 vs. $2,800 and R1T versus R1S debate. I don't know whether the forms were available when you were debating the question of whether both the T and S are considered a light-duty passenger vehicle or...
  12. Software Update 2023.46.0 is rolling out

They pushed the update to me again last night and it came through fine. I left the car unplugged - just in case. I received a follow-up call from Service today. I asked whether I should unplug Level 2 charging before taking the update. He said there is no need to unplug. He said early on...
  13. Software Update 2023.46.0 is rolling out

I feel like one previous time, I attempted the update while plugged in at home. The update stalled, I unplugged, and then it finished the install. It may be this time that it errored, restarted, and then successfully completely the update. Because it looks like Iā€™m on 2023.46.0 and maybe the...
  14. Software Update 2023.46.0 is rolling out

Iā€™ve wondered about that. I think they say no DC connection, but I thought I may have seen that warning somewhere else. I got the update notice late and was already plugged in so I left it. I will unplug in the future. Thanks.
  15. Software Update 2023.46.0 is rolling out

I started the update to 2023.46.0 last night and went to bed (plugged into Level 2 charger). I had a message this morning saying that the update failed and that I should try again or contact customer service. My R1s seems to still work and it appears it is on 2023.46.0. The warning...
  16. Texas Will Force Taxpayer-Funded EV Chargers to Use Tesla's Plug

I didn't realize there were any EV charging stations in Texas? When did that change? :p
  17. Hitch Pin Recommendation?

So, the true width is more than 3.125ā€. That does look nice. Thanks for confirming it works.
  18. Hitch Pin Recommendation?

My measurements were consistent with yours. Iā€™m a little unclear about all of what Factor 55 offers, but pretty sure anything with a true width of 3.125ā€ wonā€™t work.
