Starting to notice a set of clicking noises when pulling away from a stop and also when going into Regen at slow speeds.
It a series of clicks, maybe 4 then stops. It really sounds like taking up slack in the axle splines or CVs or something. Anyone else experience this?

I get something like that but from your description we might have different somethings. I definitely get a sound in those situations but I wouldn’t call it a “clicking”. Next drive I take I’ll listen harder & see if I can characterize it.

Yes, I get it, especially in Conserve mode.

I am guessing it is relays doing something. Mine does it too.

It feels like driveline lash to me. Also does it at slower speed with a gentle transition from on power to off power.

I hear it from the front wheels (left and right) and so it does sounds like 2-4 clicks in total from the driver's seat. I don't hear anything from the rear wheels.

Also, I first noticed this after using "conserve" mode so I thought that maybe it had something to do with putting all of the torque (even if reduced) on the front wheels.

Seems more like a suspension issue as it articulates during the compression.

This noise is normal from what I understand. My first truck did this and only had 15 miles on it. The chirp that happens I'm told is from the lubricant they use.

I'm confident that these sounds where not there for the first 100 miles or so and they have gotten louder over time. The creaking may be normal wear/tear but there is a distinct "click" that is probably axel spine or something similar that needs to be repacked/tightened. (I suspect)

Would like to see a video of newly delivered R1Ts and if they come from the factory like this.

I’ve seen this described in other threads and it seems consistent with driveline backlash, which is normal. What’s not normal is how prevalent it is for a new vehicle. I’d put in a ticket.

Service Advisors often claim things are normal when they don't have a solution.

And lubricants don't squeak, if anything this is a lack of lubrication which would be a problem.
