Rivian definitely has some traction in BC, but the reality of Canada is low population, large area. It's a difficult market for Rivian unfortunately despite it being a very "on brand" location.If anything, could be a low effort way to boost Canadian sales. But, is there enough service capacity? so they don't wind up shooting themselves in the foot after the cars are sold? Rhetorical.
