Chicago Rivian Sales Location Under Construction

Yesterday was a big Rivian day for me. Since this thread is probably Chicago metro folks I figured I'd post here that I scheduled a First Mile Mobile Drive for next Friday (29April). I hope this means that I'm on track for my Q4 delivery but know that it doesn't really mean anything.

Thanks for the info. Wondering a couple things... Did you get a First Mile email or reach out out to customer service? Is the Mobile Drive an event or are they bringing a test vehicle to you?

It was a weird coincidence because I had an email invite when I got home from my ride-by of the SC. I did not reach out to them nor do I think riding my bike past the SC had anything to do with it.

They are bringing it to me.

Stopped by the Chicago location today and was happily surprised to see both Limestone and Launch Green (along with El Cap). I went with a hope of seeing Limestone to confirm it as my choice over Forest Green, but wasn’t expecting to flip all the way back to Launch Green. The LG looked terrific and I think I may lock that in with my Guide tomorrow.

Really like El Cap, but I’ve had two dark gray metallic cars recently and just need to switch it up. The original PR shots of Forest Green from 2018 are what sold me on the R1S so I thought I’d go that route, but after finally seeing LG in person I don’t think I can pass it up.

Really liked them with the Limestone, but I think I’m sticking with the Brights.

I believe the Chicago deliveries have been done via factory pickup so far.

Got contacted recently for the May/June window. Recommended going with the direct assisted delivery option where they bring the car to you and teach you how to drive it before I said I would need to delay to July.
