Reflection of the ugly HyundaiAlready dented? Or is that just a trick of the light?
These are the wheels to get, but that size 21 tire might not have a lot of aftermarket options. Are those 255/55/21 ?
Most Rivian corporate offices are in the west. Irvine and San Jose.It seems all these R2 leave the factory in Normal and are required to head west, taking either the Rubicon Trail or the Utah Misty River Red Route 1 to get across the Rockies.. it’s like some form of Hazing for new recruits.
Im ok with that.. I’d love some video of these challenges at some point in the future.
Sucks they made the 20" all-season combo pretty ugly wheels (subjective, obviously, but apparently this may be the standard on the 'Premium'?).These are the wheels to get, but that size 21 tire might not have a lot of aftermarket options. Are those 255/55/21 ?
Sucks they still went Pirelli as the OEM tires.
Numbered from left to right in your photo, I believe #3 are the 20s that come with the premium trims. I believe #1 are only available on the lower trims. I like #3 the best and will get those and swap to a more efficient tire once the first set wear out. To me, looks-wise, I'd rank the options (from best to worst) #3, #1, #4, #2. I really don't like those 20s with the big squares and I have little to no interest in 21s on a vehicle of this size.Sucks they made the 20" all-season combo pretty ugly wheels (subjective, obviously, but apparently this may be the standard on the 'Premium'?).
I don't want 21" wheels, nor do I want AT tires, and I'm not sure the 19" will even be an option on the Premium+ trims. Not super pleased with the wheel/tire options, tbh (nor do I want to blow even more money on aftermarket stuff).![]()
Color wise, I'm thinking Forest Green is for me.. hope I can see some in person soon and get behind the wheel of an R2 before 'pulling the trigger'.
Here's my forest green with the 22s which I think the R2 21s look like an updated version of. The big reason I didn't go with the 21 inch that was the standard wheel on R1 at the time was there was no aftermarket tires of that size.Sucks they made the 20" all-season combo pretty ugly wheels (subjective, obviously, but apparently this may be the standard on the 'Premium'?).

Finally, to avoid completely hijacking this thread: catalina cove is probably the most interesting color
from the rivian website and other videos, 1 is standard wheel on standard, 2 is optional. on premium, 2 is standard wheel and 4 is optional. on performance, 4 is standard wheel and 3 is optional (only one with all terrain). therefore wheel 3 is only on performance at least from currently available information.Numbered from left to right in your photo, I believe #3 are the 20s that come with the premium trims. What? The Rubicon is in the Sierra Nevada, nowhere near the Rockies. It seems all these R2 leave the factory in Normal and are required to head west, taking either the Rubicon Trail or the Utah Misty River Red Route 1 to get across the Rockies.. it’s like some form of Hazing for new recruits.
same. will be getting the 20" AT, mainly bc itʻs easier to find tires for the 20"...but I also think the rims are the nicest.Numbered from left to right in your photo, I believe #3 are the 20s that come with the premium trims.
