I’m hoping some aftermarket company uses the speaker space to implement something more interesting.
I’ve had my truck for over a month - at some point I’ll get around to trying the speaker out….not something that matters much. Gear tunnel and frunk on the other hand getting used multiple times daily. Storage drawer would have been far more useful for me since I have a couple Bose Bluetooth speakers already.

Not to mention that the area in front of the speaker is made useless by needing space to pull the speaker out into. Definitely lots of good ways to use that space for storage.

I would see what this does, the manual says max input is 30 watts at 5/9/15/or 20 volts. For sure the 50 watt charger would not work.
Btw charger negotiates/delivers 5v@2amp, or 12v@3amp, or [email protected]. So yes charger should have worked... In 3hrs.

Does anyone know how to get the speaker to sync with the audio playing in the truck? It pairs with my phone but even after unpairing I can't get it to play the same source at the same time as what's playing inside. I thought it was supposed to do this but maybe I'm wrong...

It doesn't do this yet.

The infotainment unit has a small number of types of devices it will actually BT pair with. The camp speaker is presently not one of them. Interestingly the camp speaker will pair with most BT devices that transmit.

Ditto to a lot of the above. Mine connects via Bluetooth sometimes, sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve noticed it registers a new device in my Bluetooth settings in iOS whenever I try to use it. I’ve seen as many as four “Rivian Camp Speakers” in there. If I delete the older ones it seems to connect faster.

I try to use it when I’m washing the cars and it never plays more than a couple of songs before turning off. I’ll hit play on my phone again and it plays another couple of songs and then cuts out. My (admittedly non-technical) hunch is it cuts off because I’m still within range of my truck and the PAAK Bluetooth connection trumps the Camp Speaker, and it’s trying to connect there. I say this because if I’m in my garage listening to AirPods, they will just randomly stop playing as well and it seems to coincide with the random taillight blinking of the truck.

This is my experience exactly, unfortunately. Seemed to be OK if my cell phone was not paired as a key (Fob only).

Wondering if it is also Spotify related?

In Kalifornia it is a hollowed out camp speaker.
Mine fits perfect in the center console or even better on my hip.

Still waiting for Rivian to release that patented seat for police vehicles. That will make my hip an even more comfortable location.
