How do you feel about selecting Borealis...

Bold?
Attention Grabber?
Beautiful?
Fot the Ladies?
Very unique and distinctive?
Can/Can't Live with out over time?
Must Have while available?
Let me tell you why I love or Hate..

I can't sort it out either...
If I was getting a Performance version, I would seriously consider getting this. But I would need to see it in person before I could pull the trigger. BMW has a color called Thundernight which is similar and has intrigued me for years while considering an M240 as my next ride.

Any other color would bore me. I’m glad I’ve been forced to wait with no reservation yet. I was between launch green and Catalina Cove, but the more I see them, the more mundane they feel. Launch Green can almost feel muddy and Catalina Cove reminds of the USPS colors.

I still need to see in person, but would have no idea what I would get otherwise. Red Canyon or Compass Yellow would be awesome on the R2 but glad we at least get Borealis. It’s a fun looking car. Get a fun looking color with it.

Fun to look at in photos and IG. Wouldn't want it as a daily. Unless you're really looking for attention.

The Count was considering it but decided against lest he be accused of being a Vikings fan

I love Borealis, but not as a big SUV. I hope Borealis is available on R3X toned up with a gray or white trim.

I think R2 color palette is seriously limited, it's like a good number of selection but only 3 colors; the colors seem to overlap too much.

We currently have the blue R1S and love it and will be keeping it. My wife and I are torn on the Borealis and the Launch Green, both with white interior. My wife really wants the Borealis so I think that is where we will wind up. The decision has kind of been put off until now since we couldn't get cloud interior until this week.

If we could get compass yellow we would both jump on that in a second.

If I didn't need a vehicle ASAP, and my brother wasn't getting Borealis, I would get Borealis. It's a rich color and contrasts incredibly well with the yellow accents.

I went with Launch Green instead, since I think it has the best nature vibes for my area.

But is it masculine enough?
lol. I do find it funny that it is a concern for some (I know you are poking fun at those people).

Very much of the mindset that if the color of a vehicle makes you question your masculinity, then the color may not be the problem.

All that to say, while purple in lighter tones can appear more feminine, I do think the more plum color of Borealis treads more neutral.

I didn't think anyone but the ladies would be buying borealis lol. Or perhaps Barney fans? :giggle:

We're getting it to replace my wife's ICE SUV. She really wants a purple car. We saw the swatch at the demo drive and put it in the sun and I think it'll be a well balanced color and not too grimace-y. At any rate, I'm just excited that she's excited and was open to getting a Rivian and going EV after I raved about my R1T after switching from a Model Y, so who am I to question the color? We're also getting the 20's and I love the look with Borealis.

Only thing we debated was coastal cloud vs black crater and she ultimately decided she prefers the dark interior. I was hoping we could have a his and hers setup where I have the dark interior and she has the light, but having thought harder about it, I think I agree the dark looks better. I had the white interior on my Model Y and, while coastal cloud is much nicer and toned down, I can't argue that the black interior is less distracting and the lack of two tone colors is more appealing. Yes, I'm coping a little bit!
