I am in need of changing tires and was told to get Jack pucs. I thought I saw a few sellers in these forums.
Do you all have any recommendations? I saw few on Amazon but not sure of their load capacity or if they are even compatible.

Thanks for your help!

They all are about the same. Simple machined spacers. Look at attributes and what you get for your buck to decide. I chose Megawatt because they are slightly taller than most.

jackpucks.com are the best quality I have seen and the XL is great on top of a bottle jack or with a floor jack
I second this :like:

Also I bought the bottle jack they recommended on their page and the combination worked nicely.
I did not buy the XL one just used a wood block for the rear wheels (as they mention in on their page as well).

Thank you for your kind words! As a Rivian owner, I built these for my vehicle first and refined them for you. Always in-stock, always free shipping anywhere in the USA, and of course available in Rivian Yellow and Radiant Red.

Agree with the above recommendations. I ordered these as soon as I had a confirmed delivery date for my truck. The carrying case is nice quality, as well (makes them easy to store).

Get the magnetic one(s).
Definitely second the magnetic pucks...It allows you to put them into place on the car and then adjust the jack around them.

+1 for getting Mark's magnetic pucks ( jackpucks.com ) . . . I searched around and everything else looks like a cheaper version.

Do you need the XL or the regular height?

Do you need the XL or the regular height?
The XL was created for mainly those that off-road or need a single high lift magnetic jack puck while traveling. The four magnetic jack puck kit, is designed for tire rotations, changes, etc. Because the rear of the Rivian has more suspension droop than the front, it requires more height than the front to get a tire off the ground, which is the final reason the XL was created. As others have noted, you can use a jack pad or a simply wood block in the rear with the standard pucks to get the tires off the ground.

About 20% of our customers purchase both an XL and our kit together. So much so, that we created a discount code for that combination "Xl Combo". Hope that helps.

Below is a regular puck as included in our kits along with the Torin 10T Big Red Hydraulic Bottle Jack lifting the front of my personal R1T.

Below is our Grip Tech Sticky Cap, which 'significantly' reduces slippage on traditional commercial lifts used at tires shops.

Below is a great solution for a road side repair. If you have a nail or screw and a tire repair kit, you can simply take the load off the tire. Pull the screw or nail, insert a plug, air up and be on the road in a few minutes.

My understanding is that most Rivian jack pucks have four magnets, which is usually but not always enough.

My understanding is that @Mark_AZR1T designed the jackpucks.com product with five magnets, not four, so the pucks hold more steadily in the correct position.

My experience is that Mark's service is excellent -- before, during, and after the sale. You won't go wrong. No conflict of interest, just a happy customer.

Very best wishes!

  • Three refrigerator magnets that lose 50% of their energy in a year and they don't hold in place.
  • No bottle jack port, so you eliminate 50% of our functionality.
  • Those risk slipping on a commercial lift, because it is metal on metal. A little water or oil and vehicles slide off. A couple of Rivian's have slid off commercial lifts with metal on metal pucks, hence why I put a traction pad on the bottom of ours.
  • No lifetime warranty
  • They aren't pretty :)
Absolutely, people can purchase those. Like my vehicle, my tools are important to me :)
