Does anyone know what type of coolant is used for the battery? The coolant pump on my R1T has a small leak. I've scheduled service, but just wanted to have some extra coolant on hand should it leak the coolant tank below a safe level.

Do you know where to fill the battery? How to tell if it is full? How to bleed air? How do you know it is battery coolant? It seems like service would want to look at this quickly. Did they tell you to stop driving the vehicle because you could cause damage?

The battery is a closed system and shouldn't need to be 'topped-off'. It is not user serviceable.

The mobile tech saw the leak under the coolant pump when he removed one of the underbody plastic panels to perform the accelerator recall service. He showed me where the coolant tank is, which is under the top plastic trim panel along the top of the fender, rear of the washer fluid tank. He checked the level of the coolant and it was still plenty full and that the leak was minor and OK to drive for now until service appt. in a week.

I'm normally very much a DIYer, but until Rivian provides the ability for consumers to purchase it, or an OEM comes out with a specific approved product, I would not risk guessing or using a generic product. It's almost certainly either ethylene or propylene glycol, but with what additives/adjuncts (or lack there of) due to the nature of it being a battery coolant? Not worth risking the warranty.

Keep in mind that tiny fluid leaks can look really big when in fact it is just a few grams of liquid.
