Just one of those r/showerthoughts this morning about the auto suspension height...

All-Purpose mode shows that applicable heights are High, Standard, and Low. We've all had the truck go back and forth between Standard and Low, but is it even possible that the truck will go into High automatically under some circumstance? Has anyone accomplished this?

Conserve mode shows that applicable heights are Standard, Low, and Lowest... Truck used to go from Standard, to Low, to Lowest when on the highway. These days, it only goes into Low and not Lowest (due to an update change), unless anyone is seeing otherwise?

Not saying anything is wrong, just wondering if/when the truck ever goes into the Highest setting on its own in All-Purpose, and whether it ever goes into Lowest on Conserve any more. I'm sure the answer is plain NO for both, haha.

I put my truck in high all purpose the other day and it gave me a warning that its speed limited to 45MPH. So I doubt it will ever enter that mode by itself.

My understanding of the auto ride height is that it's only purpose is to maximize efficiency. It switches between standard and low ride heights. At speeds above 55 mph it will switch into the low ride height and then after you slow down for a bit it will raise itself up again.

I personally keep it in Standard all the time. If I'm on a longer trip I can manually drop it into low however the ride quality suffers in the low ride height.

As far as high ride height that would be manually selectable and it will go back into standard above 45. Auto ride height will not raise it above standard height from my testing. Further auto will also not put the truck in the lowest setting either. Only between standard and low.

Here is the text from the August 2022 update that introduced the feature:

Automatic Ride Height
We have added the ability to enable automatic or manual ride height control to All Purpose and Conserve modes. When the ride height is set to Auto, the vehicle automatically changes to Low ride height at higher speeds for increased efficiency and energy conservation. The vehicle returns to Standard ride height at lower speeds for increased ground clearance and comfort.

Conserve Auto mode has now the same ride height strategy as All Purpose, and hence reduces the amount of suspension auto-adjustment when approaching stop lights in urban environments.

To turn off automatic ride height changes in All-Purpose or Conserve mode, manually select another available ride height. These manual settings are now latching across drive cycles.

Wife and I were waiting in a drive-through lane a few days ago (of note it was just after the latest software update). Lane was on a steep hill, car was in drive, All-Purpose mode, can't remember if foot was on brake or not. Car started leveling itself almost like it was in "camp mode". Only time I've seen it do such aggressive auto-leveling. I can't say if one side went to "high" or not, but that was a fun ride. ?
