I got a text on Monday, the 9th asking if I wanted to pickup in Atlanta on Wednesday or have them deliver Friday. We couldn't swing ATL so we took delivery at the house on Friday the 13th. No problems whatsoever with delivery!

Zero issues, from Guide contact on 5/9 to delivery today 5/25, which happened a LOT faster than I thought it would. 8 step purchasing process was frictionless and best car purchase experience I've ever had by a long shot. Digital signatures, as they should be, but first experience with digital notary service, which was awesome.

Delivery was super smooth and uneventful, just enough useful info without being painfully slow. When they realized I was comfortable and efficient with tech and interface, they pretty much they just let me run and got out of my hair.

EDIT:

Wanted to add that a little more color: due to all delivery hiccups and false starts I read about on this forum and the fact that I am slightly paranoid (trust but verify ;)) I requested the guide have the SC send me a photo of truck and truck w/ VIN# just to confirm it was good to go, before I wired them a large down payment. Guide was super understanding, accommodating and helpful. They didn't send me pics, but guy from SC called me direct standing right in front of my truck and assured me my truck with my VIN was clean, beautiful and ready to be delivered next day.

Moral of the story, be cautiously optimistic, but don't let your paranoia, imagination and someone else's bad experience or two get away from you. At some point we need to accept that mistakes will likely be made, as with any manufacturer, but (most of us) are in this journey with Rivian for the long haul, and have a little faith they will learn, adapt, and improve.

Great delivery, even better guide and service experience. I've truly been blessed with my Rivian experience. Please don't let the 1/1000 bad stories scare you. Enjoy the truck, share pics, and go get lost!

Keep in mind people turn to forums to complain. Think of all the new owners too busy enjoying their truck to spend time posting.
Yep, this. ☝ Content people don't typically go on rants in forums.

Also, my delivery experience was fantastic. One week from guide contact to delivery - in fact my guide asked me if it was ok to move up delivery day by a couple of days, which I was quite happy to agree to. The delivery experience itself was great and without any issues, it was all very smooth. Very happy customer here.

I had a good process. Did the first 7 steps within a couple of days. Step 8 locked but received call direct from service center (Plymouth, MI) providing a couple of options for delivery. Picked one, they scheduled, truck showed up. Actual delivery was great. Knowledgeable person, answered all my questions, helped setup profile, etc.

Found a few minor issues and opened service tickets: missing spare tire; tailgate doesn’t drop when button pushed (unlocks); and front left quarter panel misalignment.

Two plus weeks with the truck and loving it!

I am scheduled to take delivery in two days. My experience has been poor so far (buggy 8 step issues, rejected a truck due to wrong configuration). There are a lot of posts with deliveries getting cancelled 1-2 days out, which is my current timeframe, so I'm a little pensive about it all. I haven't heard much from my guide either. Its crazy to think I paid for and have an insurance policy on a car that I haven't seen.

I am hoping for some balance, so does anyone want to mention if they have had a good delivery process?
My 8 steps wasn't without hiccups, but I too was concerned with the delays. I ended up checking in with the local SC scheduler to make sure we were still on track. To my dismay, she said we were not and they needed another week. However my guide was telling me everything was good to go. I didnt know who to believe with the conflicting answer and I didnt want to finish the 8 steps until I knew I was for sure taking delivery the next day. So finally I told the two parties to talk to each other. So at 4pm the day before the SC scheduler called me and apologized profusely. She had my order confused with another truck and my truck was in fact ready for delivery. I had to scramble to get the 8 steps completed because they wont let you take delivery unless your paper work is finished the day before. I was able to get done.

I do have two tips for anyone concerned with giving Rivian money and worrying about delays. You do have an option to pay any down payment with a cashiers check, which I opted to do. It kept the money in my control until delivery but also allowed me to complete the 8-steps on time. You just have to upload a photo of the check to the portal in the 8-steps and you are good to go.

And this may not be relevant for everyone, but my insurance company was willing to generate an insurance card for the truck before fully signing the policy. They basically swapped the vehicle coverage from the previous car for 5 minutes to generate the insurance card for the Riv VIN and then swapped it right back. I did this the week before delivery so that I had a paper to give to Rivian. Then the morning of the delivery I called and had them actually change the policy over. It was a really easy work around for the insurance step. Also my insurance office told me that there is actually a 30 day grace period between the cars where my policy would have covered the Riv and the previous car which was nice as I sold the car separate from Rivian since the trade in was way low. While my case wont apply to everyone, it is definitely worth talking through this stuff with your insurance so you don't feel financially put out if there is a delay.

Mine was great! No issues with the delivery at all. The two people from Rivian were very nice and did a great job. Only issues with vehicle are minor and will be addressed by a service team, but nothing I would have expected them at PDI to have caught.

Mine was problem free too.
I was also a bit tentative before the delivery because of some of the negative experiences others had posted about - the cancellations and delays. However, my delivery was right on time and my guide even showed up too (I invited him to come and he did!).
I was stuck on step 3 for 4-5 days while the website kept saying I couldn't complete financing because they couldn't compute tax & title, but once my guide finally unblocked that everything else went smoothly. Love my Rivian! Just received the last of my accessories yesterday as well.

Perfect home delivery experience for me as scheduled on Monday 5/23. Feels like a dream, but this truck is the real deal.

I, too, had an overall good delivery experience. It's all relative. Initial guide contact somewhere in the middle of April. 8 step process went smooth. My guide was very responsive and as helpful as possible throughout the process. I do not think the guides are given all the info. As a for instance, my initial delivery date was May 10. On May 9 my guide called to tell me that the truck failed one of the last QC tests and delivery would have to be delayed. I still do not know what failed, but I do know parts were ordered and replaced. I politely pressed my guide for more info and he told me he did not know. Delivery was re-scheduled for 5/25 and went off without a hitch. The R1T was delivered from Normal to Memphis in an enclosed trailer and the delivery specialist met me at my house. He was super nice and knows the truck inside and out. I never felt like he was rushing to get the delivery process over with. So, the process for me was a bit complicated but way better than others that have posted in the forum.

Well to add some conclusion...The R1T showed up today! The delivery specialist from Rivian was early, and super nice. The truck is in great condition, none of the accessories including charger or spare tire showed up, but that is all in due time.

My cheeks are sore from smiling so much.
