Exactly this. R2 is for America and R3 is for the rest of the world. Everyone will have access to both but Rivian knows exactly who they're targeting for each product / segment.

I love the design. It's everything we love about Lancia, VW, and even the LADA. There is a huge fanbase for this style of car - myself included. I have completely forgotten about R2. I only have eyes for R3X.

As someone who grew up in the UK, all I can say is 'shut up and take my money!'. This will sell like hotcakes, I'd love to rip one of these round the highlands; alas I'll just have to make do with the Ozarks...

Don't underestimate the R2 in UK/EU too -it's the right size SUV for that market.
