Got mine today, installed, and looks great. I actually showed it to the Rivian service team in Denver today and they were super impressed - they loved the stealth version that didn't show the charging pucks. Super high quality. Only question - is there a way to get it to sit 100% flush at the front by the granola holder? It's maybe 1mm higher than it could be but I'm not complaining. This is exactly what I was looking for and took maybe 30 seconds to install.

Something I’ve been wondering— does leaving these plugged in constantly hurt the 12v battery at all?

I would guess if nothing is using voltage - charging - there should be no reason for any discernible drain from it just being plugged in.

Is this the standard or XL version?

Thanks for the feedback, glad you are happy overall.

As for the 1mm gap - I have seen some small variations in the console and I've done my best to make it as flush as possible. I have seen a rare occurrence of the built in charger not being as low as it could be because the cord that plugs into it was kind of pushed up underneath it. (although unlikely scenario though). I am still thinking of ways to make it better, but have to be careful.

XL stealth installed. Took about a minute to peel back the original mat and put this in. Quick and easy. Looks very OEM (see pic). Something I noticed though, a naked iPhone 14 pro doesn’t get magnetized as well as my wife’s with the iphone MagSafe case, but even with weaker attachment I have not had issues with it moving around while normal driving.

Small gaps noted along the front edge where it’s kind of floating instead of against the wood trim, I don’t think others would notice this as much as I am, since I installed it. I’m actually wondering if the included mounting putty is keeping it from seating flush, might play around with that.

From the pictures it looked like the surface may have a grippy texture, but it’s not (not that it claimed to be).

I was torn between this and Twraps charging pad since it didn’t require removal of the Rivian mat, but it was one of the easiest DIY jobs for anyone nervous about removing the pad.

Overall impressed with build and look. It actually functions as a charger unlike Rivian’s attempt. I did not disconnect the factory charger yet, don’t know if its necessary.

Exactly the same I feel about mine. I saw one of the competitor mats today in my friends R1T and I'm really glad I went with this one - looks great. My only comment would be if we could find a wrap that has more of a non-slip surface for when you put other non-MagSafe items on the mat it would make it perfect. But my phone never moves and charges just fine on it and it looks OEM.

It seems like this uses up both USB-C ports? If so, is there a way to make it use only 1 port like the Twraps version?

Yeah, there are adapters out there that split a single plug into two. I've only seen them for USB-A plugs. You'd probably need a USB-A to C adapter for these kinds of splitters. (Although the chargers I sell actually already include that, but Apple's can be finicky with adapters).

I've also tried to find a USB-C power splitter, but my research has shown that they are against the USB-C spec, and the ones out there might be dangerous. Edit: Most of the adapters that look like they'd work on Amazon only charge from one of the split outputs. I did find this product elsewhere that looks like it would work.

Another option I've thought of to get the fastest charging would be to use a USB power bank battery instead. Plug the power bank into the Rivian outlet and plug the chargers into the power bank. The car would keep the battery topped off, as it's plugged in all the time. You'd need to make sure the power bank has the pass-through feature, which allows it to charge and deliver power at the same time. This could potentially deliver full PD spec speeds. Here's a article about chargers with pass-through: https://www.powerbankexpert.com/power-bank-with-pass-through-charging/. Note, this is just an idea and not something I've actually tried. I'm sure some people also wouldn't want to permanently have a battery pack charging in their center console but it's safe IMO.
