yeah I just went to their non-shop page, which states they manufacture in Huizhou China. Edited my post above. I own plenty of stuff from China, several of the parts Rivian uses comes from there as well.

Scroll down on that page and you get your Olink connection. As well as "State of Charge" being mentioned as one of their "biggest customers/partners"
They've been upfront about the manufacturing origins of their adapter :

Caught their interview on State of Charge on YouTube, where they laid it out plain and simple: their adapters are made in China, no different from what Tesla and Lectron have going. A2Z has been quite transparent through the whole process, maybe too much?

After scrolling through your posts, got curious and dialed them up, aiming to chat with someone up the chain. A short wait later, and I'm on the line with the CEO, picking up some solid info :
- A2Z EV is owned by A2Z Canada Inc., a Canadian company
- A2Z EVSE is owned by A2Z Canada Inc and Olink
- Olink is their Chinese registered company

- A2Z EV is for regular customers
- A2Z EVSE is for large businesses

I decided to place an order for the A2Z after speaking with him, transparency is a win for me. Honestly, I encourage everyone to give them a call if you have questions, these guys are awesome!

The collective wisdom of this community continues to wow me. Thanks for the due diligence further confirming my "trust your gut, pull the trigger" adapter purchase. ?

I'd purchase an adapter with A2Z based on this thread if I hadn't already purchased one from Lectron. Honestly, their biggest drawback imho (as mentioned on the State of Charge video) remains the manual lock on the Tesla side of the adapter.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.
This is another great State of Charge review. Jim does a great job at these. I have learned a whole bunch about EV charging thanks to Jim's efforts.

Haha. His name is Tom. Or is this some kind of inside joke or something?

No worries. I’m horrible with names, too. I just remember Tom because he’s on the Batteries Included podcast and the State of Charge YouTube channel.

Ordered on Monday. Why is it taking so long to get shipping notice?
Me too. I'm sure they are flooded with orders now. Everyone is realizing that with Rivian shipments not even beginning until mid-April, it's going to be a while before we get a freebie. The convenience of the Supercharger network - even today in its beginning role out phase (for all) - is too appealing to wait for the freebie.

My totally uneducated guess would be shipping time from China

I believe this is what the 42" of water/max height settings on the R1 were engineered to tackle. This is the poster hanging on the engineering wall for inspiration.
