@A2ZEV how long should we wait before contacting support about our recalled unit? I submitted my request on 11/11 but haven't heard back since. Don't want to put in a support request if you folks are just swamped getting through all the requests.

Love the adaptor, and sorry you folks have to deal with all these recall headaches! Looking forward to buying from you folks again soon.
I sent them a DM and they replied with this:

"Hi there,

Your exchange adapter is set to leave in the next two weeks or very probably sooner. We are overwhelmed with requests and have already sent a first batch last Wednesday. We are working on approving the exchange requests; there will be instructions on how to dispose of the V1 adapter safely. The instructions will be sent upon shipping the replacement adapter.

Thank you."

I’m very impressed with A2Z.

Once a claim is submitted for the recall. unless your claim is denied and you receive an email stating it was denied, there is nothing you need to do. We won't forget anyone, we are doing our best to clear the shipments as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Has anybody received a replacement adapter lately?
I received this email three weeks ago.

Nothing. I received the same email about a month ago. Then, when I followed up about two weeks ago, it was going out shortly. Crickets. In the past, they have provided excellent customer service and communication, so I am assuming they got their lunch handed to them on this.

They seem generally pretty busy. I purchased an adapter from them a week ago, and it hasn't shipped (and I'm in Canada).

There's also the issue of Canada Post being on strike for the last month or so, and other shipping companies overwhelmed, plus BFCM, plus holidays....I'm going to cut them some slack and not expect anything until the new year.

I believe it's been close to six weeks. Could you please give an accurate update? I have a Christmas road trip coming up soon and need to figure out if I won't be receiving my replacement.

I don't think your charging plans should change whatsoever. The recalled unit is perfectly safe for the charging limit our vehicles have. Even if you were trying to charge a Porsche or EV9 which sustain significantly higher charge rates for long periods of time you'd still be perfectly safe.

I received my free NACS adaptor shortly after receiving my recall confirmation so I'm even less concerned now. Just waiting on A2Z to figure out their backlog.

You can use the original adapter - there is really nothing wrong with it

Wanted to write this but thought I will not take responsibility if something happens :)

I agree with you - I continue to use the Gen 1 adapter and have no problem with it.

Just use your original adapter until the new one arrives.

Also, the delay in shipment could be due to the Canada Post postal strike that's been ongoing for a few weeks now.

Oh I take absolutely no responsibility for whatever someone does with their recalled adaptor, don't you worry! ? The details of the recall give me 0 concern whatsoever with our vehicles, though.
