I ditched the aero covers and had my wheels powder coated satin black. Changes the look of the truck completely. I have custom made Rivian center caps (see my other thread) that will go on after I get the truck back from being ceramic coated.

I can't speak for the OP, but my powder coat guy is $550 a set which is cheap IMO since he does all the dismounting and final reinstall/balance once he's done with pc.

That is a smoking deal. I'm in the SF Bay Area and nothing here is cheap. We get to pay the "You live in CA premiums" on everything.

Looks like you are in SF. The place that did it the wheels is Finish Logic in Concord. Plan on $200/wheel for their full service offering. Drop your car off and pick it up two days later. They store it in their warehouse, use Tesla pucks, dismount/mount and rebalance tires. Even used black wheel weights. They offer different pricing if you bring them the wheels with or w/o tires.

Any chance you can post a picture with the aero covers installed?

So these essentially look like the 22" upgrade wheels with the hub cap off. Especially after you powder coat them. I might as well ditch the 22" and save some money here.

Imo, 21" wheels are the perfect size for this size SUV

I can report the comfort level on the 21's is great as well! I'm glad I went this route...

Sorry, no. I sacrificed my aero covers to make my center caps and then recycled what was left. I would also recommend not using the aero covers unless you want to scratch the wheel coating. I noticed that the factory paint on the wheels was scratched where the aero covers mounted. My take is over time it's a wear spot that will only get worse if you R&R the aero covers frequently. Maybe a piece of PPF where the aero covers mount would help.

Those wheels in black look great. If and when we ever get a truck, we will be doing that.

What’s the estimated range decrease without the covers?

Looks great BTW!

This is a joke question right...?
No, but I don’t understand much about the complex alignment requirements of the truck. From the tone of many threads on here, it sounds tricky and somewhat prone to misalignment with manipulation but I don’t know much about vehicle alignment in general.
