Looks good. I didn’t see if they were going to offer one pedal drive or not.

Love that rally/ off road version. I should be able to afford a used 2026 model in approximately 2050 2048 if I start saving now and sell all my belongings:asshat:

Don't foresee them starting now, as the whole VW group seems to be against it for some reason. Everything else this has going for it though, might be ok without it as much as I love OPD. This is a really good product as advertised and I hear Porsche is really spot on with range, so those figures likely aren't BS.

From owning one Taycan, looking extensively at a Macan EV and to my wife's Audi Q8, it seems VAG is not embracing one-pedal driving in any substantive way. I like how they implemented it in the Audi but so far you have to go well out of your way to get whatever little regenerative braking you can on a Porsche.

Disappointing as that is a deal breaker for me.

600kW of recuperation would be like slamming on the brakes. It'd be awesome. So they won't do it. The taycan does have a setting for more recuperation on the accelerator, but it's no-where near enough to bring the car to a stop.

Thankfully, Porsche EV depreciation is even faster than the new Cayenne.

Impressive specs, like their other EV's the sweet spot will most likely be the 4S when that eventually comes out. Looks to be a DCFC beast!

Great point. I revised my projected purchase to 2048.

That's what I told my friends about the 2026 World Cup, back in 2022. No one listened and now we cant afford the $70k final tickets. The alternative is to sell our Rivian's and buy WC tickets.

I know exactly how you feel. I went through that sticker shock with the 2015 Rugby World Cup in London. I decided I would rather see all the quarterfinal matches vs. just the final because we couldn't afford to see everything we wanted to.:crying:

Sweet ride, if the depreciation curve is like the Taycan will be half price in a couple years. I get tempted to pickup a used Taycan wagon but Porsche maintenance costs makes Rivian look not so bad.

Like the styling and the specs but you should at that price.

Go on to the configurator and see how easy it is to add $50k of options. This isn’t going to steal Rivian’s cheese. If anything, theyā€˜ll probably get some people going to the R1S now and saving $.

Don’t get me started on the Recon.
