Those patent drawings are significantly less cool than real life.

I hope it's better in person because it's fugly in pictures. Looks like something from Eastern Europe.

For many here, that is actually a positive.

We like the old Lancia/Group B Rally inspired look. Couple that with some newer styling and EV, makes for a great looking vehicle.

But I understand there are folks who won't like it. Looks are very subjective.

Ya. Was wondering how they would handle the tail lights situation. Original design was cool but wouldn’t have been approved.

This is going to be an EU-bound car that needs to conform to EU regulations. Some design sacrifices had to be made from the show cars. Sad but true.

Design patents are almost worthless. If someone changes a small aspects of the patented design, it is not infringement. It is really to award the design team for their work and goodwill patent portfolio value than anything.

If this had some functional feature that qualifies for the utility patent or some process patent, then its much more worthwhile.

Finally, if its something really important, then it should not be disclosed and treated as a trade secret.

Was wondering this also. Looks like they curved it a bit?
Unless I'm looking at and reading the application wrong, it's the same as the concept they revealed March 2024. Heck, the patent was applied for the month before that.

Yep...takes a while for the patent to be awarded. I have a patent on something I designed and it took 2 years for it to be approved/awarded.
