I can’t wait to be freed from the equally oppressive and hilarious @Riviot regime

Batteries, brakes, suspension. That's really what we need to be able to work on.

That would be great hopefully they add ability to depressurize the air suspension also. Would make servicing halfshafts, hubs and shocks easier. Also while they are at it how about a way to buy parts online though I don't think they'll be able to match @Riviot level of service.

This is a good thing for sure. Right to repair is a big issue and although I probably won't be doing much of my own repair work on my Rivian, I still would like the option of doing so. If it was between changing out the 12V batteries or driving a 7 hour round trip to Nashville for the service center I'd do it myself for sure.

I truly hope this happens. The fact that owners cannot do any of their maintenance is just confusing to me. I am also someone who enjoys a lot of camping and some occasional off Roading. This also means I enjoyed powering accessories off of the truck. Though I have not had the battery nightmares others have had. I am on my third set of batteries, which are the OEM lead batteries.
I would love to be able to replace them with the OHMUs and maybe power some accessories directly off of the 12 V batteries I have not done this for two reasons, one being it just has not seemed to be a huge issue as of yet, and I hear horror stories of voiding my warranty.
But boy, it would be really nice to hook up extra lights and a few other accessories directly to the 12 V inside of the vehicle already.

I just bought a set of Ohmmu batteries. My 12v died on vacation and required a jump start. At nearly 80,000 miles I have almost no warranties to worry about. I hear that I can reset the warnings by resetting the truck 3 times in a row.

Love/hate here. Might be putting me out of business!
Rumor has it, they're going to name it the RIV Integrated Onboard Technician

Im not much of a DIY guy. I was in college when I changed the breaks on my car. I only did that so I could impress the girls living next door.

Part of the problem might have been if you asked for “break pads” at the auto parts store😉
