My first time off-roading with the R1S - photos & videos

Made a trip to visit friends in Arizona, found out they live near some trails so I finally got to take the R1 off-roading.

Looks like a lot of fun! Did you have a full-sized spare in the back or were you living on the edge without one? Looking at the terrain it doesn't look like there were a lot of sharp rocks that would have ripped open a sidewall, but you never know. What about other self-extraction equipment if, for example, you parked the R1S on one of those baked ridges with three wheels in the air?

No spare, living on the edge… of the road. The trail was only 20 minutes from my friends house and probably within a mile parallel to the road.

There was some more difficult offshoots i didn’t try because I was one vehicle and no recovery gear.

The trail had some very narrow areas that would have caused some pin stripes if it wasn’t for my PPF.

Added some pics of before and after of the pin stripes. Wash and heat and it’s 90% gone.

To be fair, OP was actually on roads it seems lol. So you could play the dirt road card.

Good point, “off highway” “on local roads”. This guy loopholes. I think you can make it work!
