Joshua Tree Charging Outpost pictures from our visit

We just visited the Joshua Tree Outpost charging station. They have tours today and described how this Outpost differs from the RAN chargers. Really nice place and fits in with JTNP. They are looking to coordinate with local affiliated nature and scenic centers. We gave them some suggestions like Skys The Limit Observatory in TwentyNine Palms.

On the charging side, note the new chargers including the new ‘tap to pay’. A Ford Lightning truck was there including all the Rivians. You could buy a R1 from them there they said! Great place! Pics below

I was there today as well, interesting to know it used to be a house, then a couple of businesses before sitting idle for awhile when Rivian picked it up to revitalize it.

There will be a restroom code in the Rivian app if you stop by when the buildings are not open.

I was lucky enough to be invited by Rivian to attend all the weekend events Fri-Sun. On Saturday, we did some excursions that were planned by local folks. There was a hike (actually 3 hours of climbing over rocks), an art tour (mostly exterior feature based art) and a sound bath ( singing bowls inside a sound dome). All very well put together.

Looks fantastic and as someone who's been fortunate to visit JTNP, I can highly recommend it. It's a wonderful place, especially in the Spring or Fall. Also more and more AirBnB's in the area starting to install L2 home chargers which sould help. Go visit.

Just a shout-out to whoever's got that purple R1T. Think I've seen a picture of it somewhere else before. Very nice. Reminds me how we used to paint all my friend's cars "1970 Chrysler Plum Crazy" back in the day. We painted a Firebird, a Chevy Malibu... all kinds of cars that weren't originally supposed to be purple, haha. ?

Fun fact, the room with the TV is called The Adventure Lab and was the 2 car garage when it was a house.

No firm plans yet but they are expecting to use it as a meeting place for some local community engagement events.

I do like that Rivian has revitalized older buildings in multiple cities. They are walking the walk on sustainability as much as possible.

They are working with a 3rd party off road training crew to host off-road adventures and training. They also plan to have multiple "rental" vehicles there to use for such occasions. Very cool stuff.
