What’s the kw charge rate showing as? Miles per hour is specific to the vehicle being charged as it’s based on miles per kWh usage. Charging at 2kw in a Rivianis roughly 4mph (2mi/kwh) versus a more efficient Model 3 showing 10mph because it gets 5mi/kwh. The amount of energy being put into the battery is identical.
Thanks! Makes sense. I was getting 2.6kW after setting to the appropriate 24 amps. You answered it, the tesla is more efficient. I didn't know that, thought speeds would be similar or at least not 50% of my old model 3.

That's why it's always a good idea to go off a standard unit for measure for what the given application is, and for electricity that's watts/volts/amps.

I've always hated when companies go for some unit of measurement that makes things look better, but at the cost of not being properly comparable to other things. In this particular case, I blame Tesla...
