Either way, a lot of Rivian’s design patents end up being actually products.

It’s nice to see Rivian look into full sized spare implementations.

Interesting and a good use of otherwise wasted space. What I find surprising is that it may be patentable; I would have thought someone came up with the concept decades ago, though not with an electrical interface.

My guess is that this will be a very costly option if Rivian in fact brings it to market.
