I managed to get one the first go, and it's pretty wicked. 4 bikes on lengthy logging roads, and all kept comfortably in place, no bouncing

Anyone here have their tailgate dent from a bike on a tailgate pad? Mine did. Love my R1T but I’m disappointed how thin the exterior skins are on them.

Was it the Rivian pad or a 3rd party one? I have seen reports of some 3rd party pads doing it.

3rd Party Pad - Evoc tailgate pad. It’s a solid pad, and it never dented other tailgates, but if the Rivian one has more padding, then I’d definitely opt for the OEM pad.
