Running boards vs warranty??

It depends on the design. DCE and 1EV both don't allow the use of the OEM jacking points with their sliders. I would not expect Rivian service to be comfortable lifting from an aftermarket device and expect they will likely ask the owners of those to remove them before bringing the vehicle in for service.

This is in the 1EV FAQ:

• Can I still use Jack Pucks with these? - YES, all factory jack puck locations remain accessible
• Can I jack up my Rivian on these? - The 'Slider' version can be jacked directly on. You can jack up the Rivian in the middle of the truck, on the slider, if you like. We do not recommend jacking directly on the 'Running Board Only' version - the factory jack puck locations are still accessible.

Not true! I personally installed the DCE sliders on my R1T and the Rivian OEM jacking points are clear and unobstructed!!! Why are you saying they’re not???

I was lead to believe that from prototype photos and the way they worded their statements of providing jacking points. It's good to know they aren't. I'd still like to hear verification from Rivian service about whether or not they are willing/able to work around sliders.
