All the issues I’ve been reading about lately with OTAs, charging, etc…. I figure I either bought the best R1S they ever built or am a very lucky person as I am just not seeing any of this….

I just went out a bought a lottery ticket just in case it is the latter. ?

Seriously though, I hope everyone can start having the great experience I’m having with mine as when it all goes right it is very cool.
Haha. Same here. All of the updates have been just fine for my R1T.
Same here on my R1T, though I admit I haven't had a chance to check Driver+ Highway Assist, and don't use Car Play.

One very welcome change that seems to be due to the new update is to parasitic drain. It had often been as high as 3-4% each day and is now back down to about 1%. Could just be coincidence though.

I’m still seeing just over 1% battery drain in 24rs. The pic below captures from September 8 12 AM to September 8 11 PM.

Anyone hasn't gotten an update? We didn't get an update for a while last time because we were on a trip and couldn't connect to wifi. Not sure why it's taking so long this time.

I've been away with the vehicle parked, no proximity unlock or gear guard at home; it's burning through 1.51kWh every day with temperatures between 58 and 80 the entire time. There's no way it's using all that power efficiently. That's about the same power draw of running AC to cool an apartment over the same time period.

we have not gotten .31 yet, but have not gotten early in the past and we a year and a half into this Rivian journey. It's just as well that we don't get it early because we would not download it anyway. We like to wait and read the reviews from others before we take the plunge.

Wow. That seems like an incredibly efficient AC. My mini split (single zone) uses 5-10kWh on a hot day, though it has some large heat loads to contend with.

Anyway, your number for 24hr drain is in the ballpark of what I’ve been seeing on our 2022 R1T.

Small apartment, limited windows, temperate weather -- the point still stands that 1,500 wH is far too much power for a vehicle to burn when it has nothing to do other than sleep, and occasionally upload logs. I haven't noticed any change in sleep pattern or phantom drain in the last few updates; just the same hungry 1.0 - 1.2% daily. I really hope Rivian hasn't given up on phantom drain with gen 1 vehicles.

Great details and it matches what I’m seeing. What are you using to capture your data?

I think the auto suspension "bug" is really intentional, just the way the truck resets back to all purpose mode after a sleep if you set it to sport. I think this has something to do with how the truck's EPA rating is calculated and then "enforced" which is absolutely ridiculous for an EV. This is also why Tesla got rid of the "creep" function that mimics a standard automatic. It's so they can advertise higher range and lower energy consumption.

I've noticed PaaK is much more unreliable now, to the point that I have to open the Rivian app and sometimes wake the vehicle via the unlock command to get it to open up.

Apple Music isn't really any more reliable now. It's about the same, and Spotify now refuses to play as well. I've had to do an infotainment reset twice since installing it just to get this back. Navigation has also lost all connectivity twice. Not a good update.

Just so you know, if you have an iPhone you will NEVER get iMessage without CarPlay. It’s encrypted and only accessible to the app and won’t transmit over just Bluetooth.
That is just wrong. I do what you describe all the time.

I agree 100%, used bluetooth on my Jeep and currently use it on my Tesla with an iPhone for integrated text messages.

I wish we could get Siri access from the steering wheel button like what my 2021 Ram had: short press activates the vehicle's native voice assistant; long press activates Siri. I almost never take my phone out of my pocket while driving and don't want to fumble around to get Siri. Seems like it should be a no-brainer to enable, but I'm sure it's more complicated than I realize.

You can enable Siri to voice activate, that is how I use it in my R1S to send and read texts. Some things it requires you to unlock it for but texting works while locked through Siri.

Is anyone else seeing issues with their tailgate and gear tunnel access from the app after this update?
Just updated and now I see this:

I saw the same and it went away when I got into the the truck

No improvement in phantom drain
