Guys, looks like airplay is having an issue with the latest IOS 17.2.1; We proved the older iOS works still. Now we are working on fixing now!

I tested an update today, we should have a firmware update available by next week! Will post once I can!

1 - only update is the Airplay update, for iOS 17.2+
2 - if you don't use Airplay, there is no other reason to update the firmware (don't bother)

I do not recommend doing this firmware update.

I followed the instructions and my unit is bricked.

The unit never presented the firmware update progress bar, just a blank (but on) screen.

After it shut off, I removed the card and unplugged and replugged. The screen came on, but blank, and the annoying welcome tone played, but still a blank screen.

Note: There is no boot_logo.jpg included in the firmware download.

I do not feel comfortable in trying to update the unit. Is it possible to send us the micro sd card or send me a return label so I can send mine in and have them update it. It shouldn’t be our responsibility to try this.

Found an error on the instructions - may or may not be an issue for you, but hold off until I post here again once we fix! If you had an issue, pm me and we'll fix your dash. If you haven't done it yet...wait for us to fix the instructions (firmware file is fine, instructions are the issue!)

Yes, it is resolved. There are two versions of the firmware. The one provided in the link did not work. Sam from EV Sportline called me and he was able to email a different version that fixed the issue immediately.

Was able to update the firmware - the process to change the boot screen did not work. Reformatted the SD card to match the instructions - loaded the boot file - then inserted into the screen. The screen starts up and never loads the new screen. Help - want the Rivian back!! Thanks!

Airplay works now - so know the firmware update was successful!
