My guess was if you are in drive it counts but if it goes to hold it doesn't count. And park doesn't count either.

Ive got a 2TB solid state drive and have easy access to charging every night. I let it record absolutely everything. I have never reviewed a video and I don't know why I would until the truck is damaged and I want to figure out how. Set it and forget until you need it.

Thanks for all the advice. I called and set it up for early Jan. Was hoping for better. I asked the guy how much and he said $1600ish plus tax which is close to yours. However I later received my estimate over email and it said $3600. Did you get a crazy high estimate too?
