  1. South Florida Windshield Repair

Thanks. From reading online seems like 1800-3000 is the range. If the Service Center can do for that, I will go that way. I presume they don't deal with insurance so it is out of pocket and seek reimbursement, right? Did you have to wait long for replacement?
  2. South Florida Windshield Repair

Took a sizeable rock to the windshield at speed. Thanks South Florida gravel trucks with unsecured loads, can always count on you. Anyhow, I'm in the market for a good glass shop in Ft Lauderdale/Pembroke Pines area. Anyone had their windshield replaced in South Florida?
  3. Truck won't connect to 5G or Wifi?? Also won't hard reboot.

Interesting. 42.2 was the fix for people who got 42.0 and got bricked.....did they give you 42.1? Or 42.0? I have had 2 separate warning lights incidents in last couple weeks. This one which has a ton of open door/tunnel/frunk/tailgate sensors flash on. Also a couple weeks earlier it...
  4. Truck won't connect to 5G or Wifi?? Also won't hard reboot.

Yesterday, I went into turtle mode out of the blue with a bunch of warning lights. Pulled over, soft reset worked but hard reset not possible. After a few attempts with the call center, I realized the left steering wheel button would not register and change the driver display either. Nor...
  5. Rivian is near the bottom of this predicted reliability study

I read this and shared the list with my wife. Rivian at #48 and Chrysler in last at #50 (she has a Pacifica). We laughed. One hour later my R1T laughed harder by flashing up a ton of warning lights (more or less indicating every door was open) and putting me in turtle mode. Then the hard...
  6. Rivian vs other home charger vs directly connected charge plug

Agree with the poster who implied that any well reviewed brand properly installed probably offers comparable abilities. I've never had the Rivian charger, perhaps disqualifying my opinion, but I understand other chargers have more flexible features in their apps. I've now had two hardwired...
  7. Delayed Charging

Good point. I did overlook an important fact in my explanation. In order to set it for 2AM I did actually use the Rivian scheduler to prevent the FPL app from sending juice beginning at 10PM. I tested this at 10:30 and sure enough it worked and started to charge at 10:30. I should have...
  8. Delayed Charging

Thanks for response. I actually had an emporia charger before this change. I do like that app better but like the wallbox form factor a little better. It also seems to get closer to full hardwire output potential and the cord is just easier to wrap on the hook. Anyhow, yes it has really...
  9. Delayed Charging

Got a quick question on plugging in and waiting for off peak hours to start. For my first couple months of ownership, I had a level 2 charger and I simply plugged in and it would charge to completion, usually 70%. I never used the Rivian app schedule because there was no real reason to...
  10. Proximity unlock is flawless now

Yes agree, proximity is just right now. In fact I've turned proximity unlock at home back on again. I now walk past the truck with my phone in my pocket at home and if I give it about a five foot buffer zone around the truck, it doesn't unlock (although the lights react with a quick blink)...
  11. Warning Lights Everywhere

Addendum: After putting the truck into a very deep sleep over night and doing both a soft and hard reset, all systems are currently nominal. No warning lights and normal functionality. I will now await this particular gremlin's reappearance at the worst possible moment in time.
  12. Warning Lights Everywhere

Yes, I believe this will not just go away. The one time I needed the Miami service center, they were great and not too delayed. As long as truck remains driveable for a while, I'm good.
  13. Warning Lights Everywhere

Oh yes, I did that right away. At first I thought it was just the proximity sensors so I had a call just on that. The person said they had gotten a spate of those (update related?). But that my version of it coming back mid ride seemed unique. Person seemed surprised the hard reset didn't...
  14. Warning Lights Everywhere

So after trouble-free riding for first 4000 miles hit a snafu today. After a 40 mile drive and a 2-3 hour break, I got back in the car to see warning lights everywhere. No proximity sensors, no collision avoidance, no lane keep, no height adjustment... Drove it to inlaws without problem...
  15. PAAK more responsive after 2023.42.1 software update

After thinking about it, I wish you could set it so the phone unlocks car at home if the signal is very strong only (like you walk up to the drivers door intentionally). To me, that would be the best. Also I just comically realized that a locked truck means the charging cable is also...
  16. PAAK more responsive after 2023.42.1 software update

It is my internal happiness quotient. Nothing more or less. No more looking foolish waiting. I was surprised how different it acted. If that comes at the expense of vampire drain so be it (at least for me).
  17. PAAK more responsive after 2023.42.1 software update

2023.42.1 seems to have reduced the time to acknowledge the phone by 80% or so. Phone now quickly unlocks the truck. Great improvement although I hope it's not transitory. Have others had success with PaaK being much more responsive?
  18. Advance Bluetooth Playback

Just a note on the recent update. In reading the notes on the 2023.42.1 update it mentioned Bluetooth playlists. I just installed the update and sure enough, my complaint/observation from a few days ago (which I assumed would never get addressed), appears fully fixed just 5 days after my...
  19. Does your suspension randomly raise after being parked [Kneel Mode OFF]?

Thanks. I am familiar with air suspension. It is not that I am surprised by it having to do adjustments. It is the when and why of what triggers it that is a curiosity to me. Hard braking has never elicited the same behavior for me.
  20. Does your suspension randomly raise after being parked [Kneel Mode OFF]?

Thanks for thoughts. I'm south Florida so it's always 80s. I don't think temperature is it. Also I don't think it is sensors given only presents in very specific set of circumstances. Seal is a little more interesting given it happens after longer breaks in driving so perhaps possible...
