    New England Rivian Group

Feels like we have enough members now to start a conversation about New England events and concerns. I think there should be some simple rules for this group. Issues general to EVs and Rivian vehicles should be posted elsewhere but issues with Chelsea SC are fair game. Issues with charging...
  5. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

For me, this chain has served as the de facto New England group. Now we have one. Please join

    New England Rivian Group

I’m sure that folks in each state will want a group of their own but the New England states share a lot of common interests. To that end, we should have a place to discuss issues and plan events for all of us.
  8. A Note from New England: Enjoying the Ride After 1 Year and 14K Miles

Ha! Actually, the crossbars you sold me are in the gear tunnel; you must have x-ray vision. Here they are holding a canoe to the roof.
  9. A Note from New England: Enjoying the Ride After 1 Year and 14K Miles

South Arm Campground in Andover, ME. Be forewarned, the electrical is all off a diesel generator. It shuts off at 9pm and isn’t great for charging EVs.
  10. A Note from New England: Enjoying the Ride After 1 Year and 14K Miles

Nah… I got tight on space in my thirties and some things had to give. I gave it away and haven’t a clue where it went.
  11. A Note from New England: Enjoying the Ride After 1 Year and 14K Miles

A little double entendre here for you all today. With nearly 14,000 miles and one solid year of ownership under my belt, I’m loving the drive of my truck and all the changes rapidly happening in the EV world. I have this dream of my kid getting my truck 10 years from now after I’ve moved on to...
  12. Installing Running Boards in Eastern Massachusetts?

I’m in Portland pretty regularly. Tell me about your process with them? Did you have the running boards before hand? Can you send pictures? Thanks
  13. Installing Running Boards in Eastern Massachusetts?

I’m looking to have running boards installed professionally. Any suggestions on where to go in Eastern Massachusetts? I have short people in my family, too short even for kneeling mod. At first they laughed at me for getting a truck. Now I’m their errand boy. I need something my short family...
  14. The R1 Shop is now open in Canada ??

We East Coasters, Americans and Canadians alike, think that you all on the West Coast have lots to offer but would appreciate it if you settled down a little. There’s lots of rugged Earth here in New England, Quebec, and the Maritimes. As a frequent crosser of the border, I’m pleased to see...
  15. New England Rivian Meetup -- Sunday June 11th at 1:00

Brilliant! I happen to be heading to South Arm for a fishing trip this week. The timing couldn’t be better.
  16. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

Which is it? Saturday or Sunday? What time?
  17. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

This made me laugh out loud. To me, it’s far off and exotic!
  18. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

Just dropped off my truck for service at the Chelsea center. There are many R1Ss inside and outside. I’m guessing there’s going to be a lot of folks finally getting their Rivians in the next few weeks.
  19. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

I was just up in Stowe, VT, and drove through some messy though not deep snow. The 21” wheels did fine in Snow Mode. I’m still looking for summer and winter tires to replace these Pirellis but I’ll be taking my time now and will only do it when these are worn. As for off-road events, apparently...
  20. Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

That could be a good spot — central to all save the Mainers. Is there good fishing on Upper and Lower Naukeag Lakes? Why is Upper Naukeag Lake south of Lower Naukeag Lake?
