  1. Texas Fast Charger dead zones

You got me looking and while it's quite the deadzone, there seem to be a LOT of wrenches (meaning coming soon/under construction). Hopefully this resolves some of it. There is also this list for upcoming sites in the state...
  2. Wall charger installation at home - suggestions and recommendations? ⚡️⚡️

I was hoping for something with a plastic cover over it to shield it from the rain, etc. Something similar to this cover.
  3. Rivian’s Allocation; Complex or Out of Control?

I have to agree it's not a semitruck transport issue. I know plenty of people who would fly to Normal, IL - TODAY if they could drive it off the factory parking lot. *and yes there have been some that pick it up in Normal * What's got me more than anything is they say they have delivered...
  4. Death to the longer range R1S?!

I'd also say if you are on the coastal states, you're probably in a better situation to handle not having the MAX pack. I've done too much trip mapping and California is pretty well covered in charging but other states are sorely lacking (sorry kids, wall chargers and crappy 6kw setups don't...
  5. Sunroof Shade Option

Just as a thought, you might also check with a window tinting company as a permanent option. They MIGHT be able to provide an option such as a high VLT film to darken or even black out the sunroof.
  6. Wall charger installation at home - suggestions and recommendations? ⚡️⚡️

Since we are on the topic *great reading and install info btw* Does anyone have a mixed inside/outside install or advice on it. I'll have my charger inside the garage (It's plug in using NEMA 14-50 plug that exists on the wall), but be charing outside. Does anyone have a good shielded...
  7. Payload Hauling Range - not towing, just cargo

Has anyone got info on how much of an impact cargo (pure weight) impacts the range of the R1T. I've see a lot of threads and videos on the impact of towing - basically half the range, but I've not seen anyone post what having the fully allotted payload weight in the bed does to range. R1T...
  8. Driver+ Enabled / Mapped on Which Highways ?

But not 405 or you just haven't checked. Thanks for confirming *sits and waits for R1S to magically appear in driveway*
  9. R1S Max pack per customer service - FWIW

Max pack was never available, I would have been first in line (I waited, hoping Rivian would finally put the option up, they finally said not gonna happen). The issue is that the wheel base is much shorter on the R1S than on the R1T, thus they can't fit the same battery pack into it (ie the max...
  10. R1S / R1T aftermarket bumpers

*ignoring the outrageous graphics* The thought of a brush guard, a push bumber, a front mounted winch, etc.. has probably crossed many a mind. We'll see them sooner or later like we do with everything. I mean if they make them for a G-wagon, they will get to Rivian sooner or later.
  11. R1S Max pack per customer service - FWIW

I'd hope people get a home charger (yes, I realize that's not always possible, but it's better than a 45min start to the day at some other charger). But your 206 miles math. I'm crying here, make my range anxiety stop! :whew:
  12. R1S Max pack per customer service - FWIW

That's 100% correct about the Olympic peninsula. You know, the outdoorsy/camping/remote/rugged/etc... target area of Rivian vehicles. For those wondering, Stop at Aberdeen or Port Angeles and charge up before heading to Ho Rain Forest or other remote parts of the peninsula. There are a...
  13. R1S Max pack per customer service - FWIW

Honestly, I'm a bit miffed about the Max pack option, I would be WAY up the line in the R1S reservation list if they had just said no max pack. I waited a long time for the option to show before making my reservation. If they don't do a Max pack, I'll figure out how to deal with 316m...
  14. R1S vs. Similar ICE class vehicles (Ex. Yukon)

Curiously missing Jeep. You might want to include Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, and Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer. I believe the L is about the same size wise as the R1S, and the both Wagoneer are as big or bigger. Also, the Grand Wagoneer price wise is has a similar starting (88k per...
  15. Not liking one pedal driving

Great thread BTW. As a long time ICE driver, I can see the lack of "coasting" as an issue. I do it a lot and get much better milage than friends who own the same vehicle (and at 120k miles have very little brake wear because I coast to lights, etc. That being said, I coast by taking my...
  16. RJ Shows interior of R1S (Canyon Red)

This renews my excitement. The fold flat seats was a HUGE issue for me. Now, can they PLEASE give internal measurements of it with the seats folded down. I have some designing to do for a modular bed.
  17. Seattle area PPF and detailing shops?

Still waiting *R1S people have the patience of saints* That being said - a lot of people I know who have done those "T" cars have been going to Redmond and using Metropolitan Detail. They list using Stek not XPEL which I know some people will look for, I'm not sure if both are available...
  18. R1S Owners Guide Manual Available! ? (August 22, 2022)

I've seen in Rivian Stories (see youtube) videos where it's about a 2" lip on some vehicles and completely flat on others (RJ's for example). I'm seriously hoping it's 100% flat front to back because I want to be able to sleep back there (bed designs are already in my head). A hump would...
  19. Death to the longer range R1S?!

Being an R1S res holder, this is very disappointing to me as well. I held off on the reservations initially because R1S wasn't listed in the configurator with the Max Pack. Trust me had it been, I would have been fighting to be first in line. That being said, I know it's going to be well...
