Thanks for the write up @Aag12.
I just completed a 3,000 mile road trip on the Eastern seaboard. Temps ranged from 20-30F going up north, and 40+ F on the way back. I have 20AT stock tires. Wind noise was not noticeable and a lot more quiet than my Model Y, which suffers from atrocious wind...
I got two free charging sessions and paid a total $150 for the other 7 stops. So averaged $21 per charge. I typically charged from 30 to 80% each time.
I changed chargers twice, to see if I would get better speeds. It worked once when I got a much better speed. I am planning a call to EA before I head back home to ask them about the slow charging. I am sure they will blame it on cold temps.
I averaged 1.95 m/kWh.
Yes. I have the EA pass. Took me a while to figure out how to use EA. But its easy.
1) Open the App. Pull up the station where you are charging
2) Plug in the charger to car.
3) Select and swipe the charger number to connect. Sometimes it connects and begins charging without step number 3...
Agreed. It just takes a bit more prep. But it’s fun, and my girls are having a blast, even the extra hours did not affect them. Hopefully the trip back home will be smooth as well.
I just drove from South Florida on Boxing Day (Dec 26th) with my wife and 3 daughters, arriving in NYC late Tuesday afternoon. I spent hours anguishing about whether to take the Tesla or the R1T, and checked PlugShare to make sure none, of the CCS stations I need were totally out of service...
I use ABRP to figure out the number of charging stops, but as others have noted, its not up to date, so you see may not see all EA stations.
i recently drove from Broward County to Atlanta and used EA primarily, all the way to ATL, with the exception of one FPL charging station in central...
Let me say this. I love Tesla the car. I am on my second Tesla, a 22 MY.
But I am also a black man, with two LBGTQ kids. Me and my family, and the millions of people like me are more than 10% who are trolled mercilessly by Elon on twitter and more than the 10% who are rationally angry for...
Yes, its strong. I have an iphone 14 Pro max and the magnet is strong enough for my phone. The problem is as mentioned above having to tape it to the dash.
I have brought home 6 Ft long 2x4 studs in my R1T. Just popped one end up on the tailgate (on a towel) and tied them down. Likewise with other stuff that’s longer than bed length.
And why are the SC’s not directly accessible by phone? Smh. I get they don’t want the added expense of a receptionis at each SC, but its 2021, they can route the calls to multiple people at the SC and designate a couple of people to answer at any give time….geez. Thats not so hard to do. I hope...
Good luck! I have been there twice for service. There is no door bell and they keep the door locked You have to go the left side of the building and bang on the glass window to get someone’s attention. It’s a beautiful shop though. The floors and lifts are spotless and there is a nice lounge...
