This is what Rivian should do with the RAN network. Open the network to all EVs but allow Rivians the ability to reserve a charger. Makes much more sense than a closed network to a single automaker.
Glad Chargepoint will be using a 350kW charger instead of their current 62.5/84kW chargers.
This is pretty frustrating to see. The reports on EA performance over the past 6 months are really bad.
I've owned non-Tesla EVs for over 4 years and have never been stranded by EA. I have had to change stalls from time to time, but generally I've had a good experience. However the reports...
When I took my truck to get winter tires installed, it automatically locked in the Discount Tire shop bay. The alarm was trigger when they started jacking up my truck and the Rivian App immediately notified me on my phone that the alarm was going off. So apparently it will notify you if the...
Keep in mind that if your battery is very cold, it will try to heat the battery immediately when you start driving. So short trips will make it seem like it used an excessive amount of charge for such a short distance. If you were to keep driving the usage would improve as the battery is brought...
Because Rivian includes all of the energy used (even when sitting in the garage) in the efficiency calculation, it's hard to measure the true "on road" efficiency which most other EVs only report. You essentially need to reset the trip computer at the beginning of every trip and then record the...
Just had Blizzak LTs installed yesterday. So far no noticeable difference in noise around town or on the highway. On the way to Discount Tire, my neighborhood streets still had about 1/2 inch of snow. Did a couple of braking and acceleration tests with the OEM tires and then did the same tests...
I get the faintest noise if everything is shut off (radio, HVAC, windows up) and I accelerator slowly from a stop. I think this is simply gear lash in the system.
No noise under normal driving or hard acceleration. Nothing like the video from the OP.
My Model X used to make a similar noise...
You guys scared me enough to order a set of the Blizzaks. I usually buy snow tires for the vehicle we take skiing (Rivian in this case). I was hoping the A/T tires would be good enough, but I'm not going to risk it. I have driven it in light snow and it seemed okay, but I don't want to slide off...
Just finished our first ski trip in the Rivian. Drove from Manitou Springs (just west of Colorado Springs) to Copper Mountain. On our way back we did a side trip to Silverthorne which added an additional 15 miles. Total trip was 247mi @ 2.22mi/kWh and 111.3kWh used. This is about 89% of the...
So Hyundai, Porsche, Audi, and Lucid make Tesla look archaic with their 800-900V architectures?
Which is it? All the Tesla fans played this down as no big deal. But now that the Cybertruck might have 1000V architecture it's a game changer.
Agreed. I honestly prefer station wagons over SUVs but I understand the appeal of a slightly higher ride height.
If they had sold the SUV first I probably would have purchase one.
Some more info:
A compliant, sports-tuned air suspension. Storage for any outing. Versatile bi-directional charging capability. And a sanctuary-like interior with the finest appointments. Lucid Gravity will deliver enormous space, go-anywhere range, and an engaging drive that stands apart from...
Lucid revealed more photos of the Gravity SUV today. The full reveal will be in early 2023 and start taking deposits.
Assuming it has similar pricing structure compared to the Air Sedan, that would put the gravity in the $100k range with 480-620hp and roughly 325 miles of range, and $140k for...
