We just purchased an EQS 450 4matic SUV last night. We originally placed an order back in July as an alternative to our R1S reservation and/or Volvo EX90.
Our local dealer called us up last Friday to let us know they received their first EQS and we could come check it out to make sure we were...
Our AC works extremely well. My guess is you either didn't have it on the max settings, or there is an issue. I believe a couple of people have needed their AC recharged post delivery.
I have the crossbars over my truck bed and have never heard a whistle even with bike racks/bikes attached.
I haven't tried them on the roof, but I've had many cars in the past with roof crossbars make noise.
One more item. Access all of the music on your phone through the music screen.
CarPlay would be great for certain things like music, but there might be a nice in between. The current music screen does display the play list being played, but unfortunately you can't browse music on your phone...
I really want a battery state of charge graph when you put a destination into the navigation. Similar to Tesla. It's one of the most useful displays for keeping track of your expected battery level when reaching your destination.
I would also like the trip computer to not include vampire...
The EX90 electric will probably be the best combination of luxury, quality, and size for a 3-row EV. I'm hoping they will have some innovative storage solutions like a large front truck. If not that could be a miss. Off-road performance will be mediocre, but it will probably drive on-road like a...
As long as the kitchen doesn’t end up like the powered tonneau cover, it will be worth the wait. Hopefully they are getting it right and making it bomb proof.
As someone with Quad motors on their R1T, who will never really use their capability, I will definitely switch to the dual motor setup for our R1S order. The Quad motors are completely overkill except for a few rare cases.
When you consider other competitors like Tesla, they charge $17k for...
Purchased our R1T in August, temp plate expires in October, and I just received my plates on Friday.
Rivian was faster than most dealerships and they actually covered the cost of registration and sent the plates with the stickers. Normally when I purchase from a dealer I receive the title...
The most common plugs at campsites are Nema 14-30 and Nema 14-50. I believe the 14-30 is slightly different. So it might be worth getting a 14-30 to 14-50 adapter. I would also get the TeslaTap mentioned above. Those work great for Level 2 Tesla chargers.
14-30 to 14-50 Adapter
I can't believe Moab wasn't top of the list for Rivian DC fast chargers.
Green River has an EA charger. It's a little past the turn off to Moab (if coming from the east) but only 50 miles away. My recommendation would be to top off there and then use a couple of the Level 2 chargers in the...
About ten years ago at our previous residence I upgraded our entire panel (replaced all breakers and the panel box) and went from 100amp to 150amp service. It was about $2000 at the time. So my guess is today that would run maybe $4000 max. Way cheaper than any decent battery system.
Just received my plates and registration from Rivian. They saved me a trip to the DVM (that's worth like $5000 right there). I've honestly never had a dealership in Colorado handle the complete registration process for me.
