So this morning started a 110 mile trip in my G1 Quad truck. 45% SOC, min min 10% SOC at arrival, battery temperature 23F, motor temps in 30F range. Nav calculated 1x 14 min stop at Tesla supercharger about 1h away. As soon as I hit "go", battery preconditioning message came on and with 1-2 min...
Yep, it's a first for Mark to do Rivian. Not sure if purposely, but they were very conservative about their description of how fast and buttoned down the SUV is. Oh wait, it's not a Porsche/VAG (yet) so let's not dethrone the Cayenne
If you noticed, no pucks at the lift points.....and it's a...
Yeah, these prices aren't bad for a lux vehicle at all. I think the shop rate might be a little high.
I would have asked them to do the brake fluid if hasn't been done in the past year or so.
What about the condition of rotors? If you have uneven pad wear, there must be something also going on...
Got the update last night. Very first thing I noticed on my drive this morning is the disappearance of the yellow and green/acceleration and regen indicators on each wheel in the drivetrain page ....
I got lucky back in September, eBay had DT online store listing for $300 per tire. I asked my nearest DT store to price match it, and they did. That's how I ended up with the Michelins. Walmart has the Pirellis currently at $400 per tire.
I'm getting mine installed after Thanksgiving. I will be at just over 37k on the Pirellis and they are still quite and grip very well. I got a ridiculous deal on the Michelins, but I know I will miss the traction and confidence of the Pirellis
So didn't Rivian prove that the legacy hardware like solid axels, disconnecting sways, etc. are exactly that- legacy? I bought my R1T largely because of the suspension after reading MT taking an early R1T through the TaT.
Also, the Scout is made by VAG....outside of Porsche and the exotics, VAG...
Sorry for all the troubles @OP. Indeed, very frustrating!
On the flip side of your experience:
I just got my truck back from the Richmond SC, it took them 5 days to look at it, but then completed PTC replacement and suspension washer fix and state safety inspection in one day. Was lucky I got...
Yep, local Costco has the Rivian pucks as well. I specifically asked about if they can safely lift the truck and if they have the special adapters. The desk guy said: yep, we have the pucks and have done other Rivian vehicles before.
FYI, Costco road hazard warranty is prorated like every other...
I switched to custom 17"s and wild peaks at3 on my previous Ram 1500. Loved the tire, 10 ply sidewall strength is a must have on these. Would buy and use again, but love my 21s efficiency too much
Wow, thanks for chiming in on this.
It is truly amazing how different experiences we have. I even went back out and drove the R1S and cranked the music up and stuff, just to make sure it wasn't the "newness" feeling. No, I stand by everything I wrote above.
Now, my truck isn't bad or falling...
Hello All,
Just got a loaner from Richmond Service Center, which was an amazing surprise since I was slated for ICE rental loaner, and already drove about 150 miles on my regularly traversed routes. My 9xxx VIN R1T is in for PTC refit/replace, and all kinds of tocking/creaking sounds from...
Hey folks,
Let me brighten up your day, save your bucks! How about $304.5 per tire? @Discount Tire rep, I'll take my marketing commission anytime now....

I'm in the same ballpark as you @31k miles on OEM Pirelli 21s. I have at least 3-4k miles left in them. I got a absolutely nuts deal on the new Michelin tires, my quote is good for 30 days from DT. Michelin rep said there is also a rebate they will announce by end of August. Then as someone...
