Hey:), it's a truck... We did the same, but on a 1/2 ton. We got quite a bit more on it with the 8' bed. A "bit" overloaded but they overbuilt back then. The pix is also only shed to barn, but tied down it works(ed) on the (rural) highway.
Not as much as my '87 Chevy but still usable. The Chevy fit 4 bales on edge across, the R1T is too narrow for that so not as nice a base which messes up the back end.
Along the same lines, R1T in an unheated open shed in MT also. I default recharge to 75% overnight / off-peak hours when returning, then schedule 80% or 85% an hour or so before departure time as we don't drive every day. That makes it pre-heated on the "to town" portion of the drive, but...
I had this come on and off a few times yesterday while driving up in the timber to a trailhead at about 6000'.
I called Rivian support and they said likely lack of cell service, but I'm not convinced they really know this. The support agent hadn't heard of the issue before and had to do some...
The past month or so I've noticed a buzz coming from the driver display. This morning it seemed worse; truck has been sitting unplugged for a few days, 10degF to 40degF temps; battery was at 20degF this am. Plugged in, buzz still buzzing away. Anyone else had this issue, or know what it might be?
Is there some other trick that goes with this? I tried it a few days ago and by itself it didn't seem to work. I buckled the driver's seat; didn't try the passenger. Ended up using show and tell.
Yes, it has an "always on" mode, available on the left driver stalk switch that controls the lights. However, "always on" is only always on while someone is in the driver's seat, or maybe either front seat.
Got dark, wanted to finish cutting some slabs from the sawmill into firewood. Drove the truck over, turned on the headlights... but can't figure a way to keep them turned on when no-one is in the vehicle. Tried leaving the driver door ajar. Lights still turn off after a minute or so. I...
I vaguely remember reading something about TPMS sensors no longer need to be programmed to the vehicle. Is this true when installing new wheels and sensors? I'm heading to the shop with some new atomic wheels and sensors; not sure what the tire shop knows about rivians...
I'm considering the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 LT275 / 60 R20 123D E1 BSW for a winter tire on my R1T. It has a max psi of 80, as opposed to most 116T rated tires which have a max psi of ~50. Thoughts about what pressure to run at, and how that would affect the tire and the mileage? Would...
Not sure.
The tireject site says it is water-soluable and can be cleaned out with a water-soaked rag. I suspect they should still scrape/grind off the inside surface just as they need to do for wax from manufacturing if they're going to patch it. They also say it is compatible with tire plugs...
Surely by now someone has had occasion to use the included Tireject tire repair kit? If so, can you give an evaluation of how well it worked? I've recently had two flats on my OEM 21" road tires. Both showed up at home fortunately, one just after arriving, the other after sitting overnight...
We have running-boards installed on our R1T with the plastic undercover side-panels removed, so the jack puck locations are not obvious. I always have to look at the removed side-panels to see where the jack locations are. I'm anticipating getting some new tires mounted on new rims at COSTCO...
Congrats for not driving too much, if that's your main vehicle (I mean that in a good way) Wrong friends, few trips? :-) We've owned our Rivian not quite a year, ~19K miles, and have charged at friends'/families' houses at least 5 times I can think of. It may depend on where you live; friends...
