This! I might want to get a G2 QM but have a reluctance that the build quality is still spotty. Not sure why...with the build quantities...seems there should be plenty of time to QC them aggressively and make them as perfect as can be....
I get it....suppliers can have issues too
...but we are...
People say G2 is amazing fast...but my G1 is as fast as it seems it can be. Enough so they could toss in some fancy fade in/out stuff, etc... but I don't actually want that...just saying...
Ok...if that is the case....then the decision to expect the 2nd and 3rd row passengers to exit thru the front doors....is a straight up absurd decision.
In addition Rivian needs to make that very clear in the owners manual too. Hate to see people wasting time even trying to get out with those...
I agree. The G2 Tri is basically the new G1 Quad. And the G2 Quad is the new Halo vehicle. I think Rivian handled it perfectly representing that with yellow for Tri and new color for Quad.
I feel NHTSA should ban hidden door emergency release handles.
It puts people at serious risk of being trapped inside a vehicle on fire.
And even if not banned...it's still a crappy design that makes odds of survival in a fire situation where the powered releases are inoperative...something...
I had no idea Ford had a vehicle with door releases that rely on power to operate. That is terrible and NHTSA should prohibit that without a mechanical door release also present as a backup.
These G2 Quadmax are going to be monsters! Ultimate Halo vehicles for sure!
Not so sure about purple....I can't see ever driving a purple vehicle myself(prefer a lower profile)...but always like variety from a manufacturer. Can't see it selling in sufficient quantity to support it...but who...
I completely agree that what you had was a serious safety hazard.
I don't understand why some of the posters feel it is more important to diminish your very unfortunate situation than just keep their wrong opinions to themselves.
Upmarket? It's a bunch of different colored parts inside the same cabin. Ascend is interior trim package which is mostly just different colored stuff, some plaid floor mats, cloth on seat backs and different perforation pattern on the seating surfaces..... and then that lesser audio system than...
I found entertainment in that claim of high reaction score.....I didn't even know it was a thing. I guess for some people who claim to not care what others think of them....they really do care.
I disagree. Why I have a forced induction manual transmission 650hp rear drive convertible I guess.
Each has its own strength but the Rivian can't come close in excitement to that wailing supercharger and exhaust with rear drive.
Is my G1 QM LRG faster than my ICE? Yes. Is it more...
I'd have to dig up the paperwork. I said caliper but I don't actually know if it was a sticking piston or a sticking slide pin. But even sticking calipers I am not sure are covered past 12 months 12k for most manufacturers. But maybe I am wrong. In all the millions of miles I have driven in...
I had an Acura that had sticking calipers and fried the rear pads at 25k. Acura 100% covered it as they understood that was very premature. But Acura was always excellent to work with for warranty/service and I have learned it probably isn't reasonable to compare Rivian to Acura or Lexus...
