I tow a 3500 pound travel trailer with a wrangler (5200lbs.) that has the pentastar. It does the job, but it’s pretty slow. How is that going to be different when the battery is depleted? My guess is with a full size truck hauling around a heavy battery to start with and then hooking up a 7-8k...
It is interesting how this happens to most people after driving a good EV for awhile. When I was younger we used to try and make our cars faster with upgrades, but mostly we just made them louder. Now that I’ve bee driving the Rivian for a bit I equate loud to being slow. ?‍♂️? It pretty much...
If so I’d love to hear your thoughts. I want to get my hands on one as soon as they start hitting the used market. Maybe we should have a section in this forum for the delivery vans.
I pulled a trailer all day today and the motor temps stayed below 160 except for once while it was preconditioning it went up to over 200 for about 5 minutes and then started to cool as I pulled into the charger. It must be using motor inefficiency to generate heat. It was in the 30s F.
It was not a loop style test, just had to go from Portland to Medford Oregon with the trailer. I will be doing the reverse on Friday and I’m deliberating if I want to reset it or if I should let it go and see if it gets closer over time. I kept speeds at 60-65 for the entire trip. It just seems...
I towed the camper ~260 miles on Sunday and while the GOM was better than before, it’s still gets baffled when it comes to simple math. After towing for 4.5 hours at 1.0 m/kWh the truck still thinks I can go over 180 miles on a full charge, and the range at arrival is still overly optimistic...
IMHO the quad motor R1T is the best vehicle I’ve ever had in the snow. it’s traction and stability control are extremely fast to react to slipping.
Osborne effect could also have a lot to do with it. Combine that with the high prices and interest rates and there could just be a lot of buyers in a holding pattern. Waiting for NACS. Waiting for Cybertruck. Waiting for Fords ground up electric truck the T3. etc.
Hopefully there’s not too many...
I just got back from a 2100 mile 5 day trip from Portland area down to southern cali and back and didn’t have to wait and never found a broken charger. I used RAN whenever I could and EA the rest.
Ooffffff. The company that proclaims so much but produces so little. They will limp along promising the world while soaking up as much government money for as long as they can.
Where are all those Blazers that were on the train headed for the US from Mexico? Must be a long trip………
I’ve done it in my jeep, but you are braver than I am with the Rivian. How was the rest of the trail as far as scraping underneath or either end? I’m gonna be there this weekend in the Rivian! ???
Looks like the orientation and cable length of these will allow charge ports on either side to be used pretty easily. Just thought I’d share a couple pics.
Thanks all! This is a new record for me getting the answer I was looking for on this forum! I found the seat calibration in the service menu and it’s good as new now.
