  1. Killer range performance, for one brief flash of brilliance.

That’s nuts! I’ve never seen anything close to 4 plus!
  2. Killer range performance, for one brief flash of brilliance.

For entertainment value only: I know, it’s only 15 minutes worth. But it’s still nice to see. R1S, Minnesota, about 35F, back roads about 40 mph in Conserve.
  3. "Cameras Not Working - Service your vehicle"

Well, it’s not because a mouse chewed through a wiring harness to a camera. If one goes down completely, the whole system goes offline. Ask me how I know this.
  4. Rivian Commercial Van - EV Sportline named a Preferred Upfit Partner

We hope you’re not using Rivian’s OEM windshield glass…
  5. Paul Bunyans Garage of Minnesota

I had tires rotated recently and they did that proactively.
  6. Terribly confused/frustrated with charging schedule— can I really only have one schedule?

There’s no software interface with the Rivian EVSE by itself, to my knowledge. The Rivian app controls use of the charger— I doubt one could connect to a Rivian EVSE without a handshake first via the app.
  7. Terribly confused/frustrated with charging schedule— can I really only have one schedule?

I have two charging locations— home and cabin. Each has a Rivian wall charger. Last week at the cabin my wife actually set a schedule, for it to finish charging late morning before we departed. We’re now at home, and I plugged in last night, expecting the R1S to start charging when I had the...
  8. Very cold temperature range report - part II - with pics and data!

Yeah here in Minnesota we don’t consider your conditions to be ā€œreally cold.ā€ That’s actually known as ā€œbalmy.ā€ Now, -30F would qualify as ā€œreally cold.ā€ ?
  9. At what price will you exit RIVN?

Notable gap here between 35 and 100.
  10. Does Level 2 charging have a curve the way Level 3 does?

Living in Minnesota with a cabin in Wisconsin, I’m dealing with cold weather now, like many others. I have a Rivian wall charger at both locations. When I can, I’ve run some informal tests regarding warming the battery, range vs. battery temp, etc. Tomorrow, I’ll do a 3-hour charge just before...
  11. Paul Bunyans Garage of Minnesota

If you take a drive of any length, watch the projected range change as the battery warms up. Also, keep notes if you want, on the relationship between your speeds and remaining range. Multiple variables will alter your projected range in real time as you drive. Over time you'll get a feel for...
  12. Extreme cold weather driving report - 2022 R1T Quad

Bingo. 50 mph with occasional slowing for turns gives me close to 3 mi/kwh but 70-anything on the interstate takes it under 2.
  13. Another shout-out for the Mpls. Service Ctr.

No idea. The SC made it sound like the state isn't allowing it currently. But I'm not certain.
  14. Another shout-out for the Mpls. Service Ctr.

I made an appointment at the Mpls. SC in early December to have a few things done on my R1S. At 16K miles it’s time for another tire rotation, but the biggie was that the cameras had all gone down, and the vehicle was (still) confusing me with my wife and randomly changing our cabin settings...
  15. Towing Report: Airstream Pottery Barn >> R1S Gen 1 (First Tow)

A couple of years ago I bought this ā€˜51 Silver Streak Clipper, which predates the modern Airstream Corp. trailers. Wife and I will start completely restoring it this year. It’s about 19 ft. long, and with slightly better aerodynamics than your standard Airstream, I’m hoping we might get slightly...
