Just get a NACS to J1772 AC adapter and a NACS to CCS1 DC adapter. That's the only essentials.
After you've owned it for a while, you might consider adding a J1772 extension cord to your kit if you have a work charger you get ICE'd out of frequently.
IMO, a mobile charger is pretty worthless...
Just got mine in and was initially distraught my wife's 40oz didn't fit until I realized there were removable inserts in the cup rings 🤣
Looks great! We'll see how the functionality works over the next few weeks but initial impression I so love it! Very cool design and the sliding...
Passing slowpokes on backroads. I was always hesitant to pass folks in my old Ram but the quad Rivians crazy, instant acceleration makes overtaking on two lanes so easy
I have a 22 R1T I bought used. I would absolutely ensure you have a service center nearby and minimum 1 year and 1 years worth of miles on the warranty just to comb through it. I love it but it does have some issues that hopefully will become less frequent down the line.
Also, free work...
I had noticed the wheel had a slight vibration in it while in the highway especially with highway assist on. Pleased to see that is modestly improved with this update.
I thought about this the other day. I'd go EV. Gas supplies would all go bad within 1-2 years and after that you're out of luck. An EV with charger and solar might last you a decade or more. Even if all you have is a 1-2kW portable setup to run your 110v portable charger.
Coming from Gen1:
- more power capability from the inverter to the 120v outlets so I can run power tools, I don't need a 240v, just enough for a circular saw, etc
- go back to resistive heating, screw efficiency I love having hot air in like 15 seconds
- physical door handles only
-...
You should look at the Continental TerrainContact H/T or A/T. They are phenomenal in the wet and should be very quiet. The A/T look great but are very on road biased tread pattern despite being an A/T. The only ? would be efficiency as they aren't really EV tires and can be a bit heavy.
I had...
Man I love this truck but it would be real nice to go more than a month or so without something new coming up.
Getting ready to clean out the bed and dropped the tailgate and the plastic trim on top just fell off. Seems some brittle glue underneath just gave up... Add it to the list for my next...
Are you all still requiring a purchaser to make a physical appearance at the dealership to get a vehicle delivered or can things be done completely online?
Well nevermind, I swapped the Tesla UWC to compatibility mode from all vehicles and now it changes just fine. Leaving this up in case anyone else experiences this.
Hey all,
Trying out my A2Z J1772 extension today and out of an abundance of caution was going to cap the charge rate at 36A instead of the usual 48A. I'm using a TUWC. I have set the Rivian to 36A but it keeps pulling 48A. I've tried plugging the car in first then changing and changing first...
Not sure how else to describe it? I'll be in pole position at a light and tap sport mode and there's an audible creaking noise as the front end lowers? I'll see if I can get a video sometime
Well that's good to hear at least. It's always creaky when I put it in sport mode form all purpose stopped at a light before getting on the highway ramp
Wait, aren't you having your suspension replaced?
