Mine does this whenever it’s plugged in for a long time. Always set to 70% but it goes to 71% or 72% or 73% if I leave it plugged in for about more than 8 hours after it’s reached 70%. I don’t really care, but it’s probably some sort of software issue.

Short answer. No. It doesn’t need WiFi. It will charge perfectly fine, as you note. They could update its firmware, it’s unlikely to do anything you NEED unless you want to monitor it in some way.

It’s not the coils that are an issue, it’s really the surface being too slippery and the fact there isn’t a “MagSafe” standard. So they can’t make a magnetic one for iPhone and Android folks.

Issue is one port in armrest is always taken by SSD. I use the other for the MagSafe twraps which is pretty good. So yes, if I want pure juice, passenger headrest is where I go.

The Rivian charging pad is AMAZING. As long as you only go straight and don’t go over about 15 mph. If you turn or accelerate, your phone will fly off. Not sure how they missed that when testing during off-roading, etc. Sadly, the easiest USB C port to get to is the one behind the front...

I know the 21” AS is 33” diameter and 20” AT is 34”. Regardless, once can’t manually change this info. Rivian can do it OTA per posts in other areas here. Regardless, it’s an annoyance.

If you’re switching types of tires on wheels, just remember, the Rivian range estimates in car will all be wrong/off considerably. The car can only project range based on limited Rivian specs. I just moved to the 20” ATs on my R1S from the 21” and it requires a firmware update to the car which...

I got it tonight. Got email from Rivian about great new software and I checked the app 30 minutes later and sure enough, it was ready. But I had to check, it didn’t push a notification to me. I am sure it would have were I patient!

They’ll do it but you have to be willing to wait three months + or so where I am. There’s always something else you can request and add it on, right? ? Suspension clicks too much, for example.

total bummer. Tire shop has to pay for legit fix. I’d got to Rivian SC for a fix. This is why I will only take my R1S to Rivian - even for a rotation. It’s super annoying, but I don’t trust any tire places. I trust them all with my Tesla, but ten years ago, this is the same crap that happened...

I’d say 0% due to underbody. I have underbody and 21” and have the same energy usage and range as most folks I’ve seen post here. Underbody is relatively light and aerodynamic. It’s all the wheels and tires! I’ve actually just switched from the 21” to to 20” ATs, but plan to post on that elsewhere.

That’s fair. They’re on vin 35,000+ for S, I don’t think they’ve made THAT many more Ts but haven’t kept track and they don’t breakdown deliveries but have said they’re making a lot more R1S now. I hope to have 50 within the week. And until then, will check my S and app about every 10 minutes!

Are the AL69s really about $260/tire? I guess it’s worth it if you need it, just seems like a lot of money.
