Whoops, wasn't clear. My SC is South San Francisco. So whether LA or Normal, the vehicle needs transport. If coming from LA, it would probably go on a truck. If Normal, I assume train, which will take much longer.

Was Jan/Feb, got R1S Shop access last Friday, decided to take LG/BM. Turns out the vehicle is Venice Beach. (No, not demo.) So they just have to truck it up here to Bay area. Wouldn't let me fly down to get it. :confused:

Yeah, I think I messed up Sept refresh by adding XPEL and underbody, thinking that by upping the total $$ they might prioritize it. I think it went exactly opposite. Underbody seems commonly available from Shop. But XPEL probably pushed me out, though of course they wouldn't tell me. Anyway...

I got R1S Shop yesterday, LE 2019 preorder in Bay area, was Jan/Feb estimate. Snagged the LG BM 22" bright. VIN xzz2663, 2022 model year. Didn't want to take my chances on the Jan refresh next week.

I got mine yesterday. I had an R1T First Mile about a year ago. I am 1/2 hour from San Francisco. They did *not* give me the option of doing this from my home, but SF service center is fairly close.

Didn't really look inside. The two I was close to both looked like BM.

I counted 10 or 11 outside in the parking area. Mostly launch and forest green, but some white and limestone. All the personnel were in the parking lot lining up for an ice cream truck. Lots to celebrate!

I have a lease ending Sep 2022, and still (nominally) 4Q22 R1S LE delivery. But I'm seriously considering Vinfast VF9. Brand new company, so much risk, but then IMO so is Rivian.
