I asked during our drive and “trainer” said they weren’t running it at that time. I had also seen others on it so I assumed it was due to lack of time. Oh well. We pretty much closed out the place. Spent more than 2 hours there. Tons of fun.
Just made it home. Rivian did a fantastic job with the event. All outdoors with at least 3 R1T's that you could climb in and mess around with. I think the UI was still early but we could play with the sound system and change the drive modes. Very seamless and smooth!
@DuckTruck you are...
I agree with point 2. Since there are very few RAN chargers early adopters are at a disadvantage for their “free” year. LE holders should get a longer free period. Overall super excited about the idea. Rivian is really thinking outside the box.
Overall I'm excited these are popping up. There are probably more as Rivian seems to be doing it without all the fanfare. We should keep a thread going of new charger sites as they appear!
As we don't have any detail yet on the UI, does any one know anything on the "weather" capabilities on the center display? I imagine it will not just be the "temperature" but I'm hoping will actually include radar and weather prediction at your destination location etc... Wouldn't it be great...
Does anyone know if they will service out of Normal as well? I'm in STL not far from Normal and I doubt they will put a service center in STL in the near future. Hopefully Normal can be my service center.
